Romney Now Flip-Flopping on Foreign Policy

And I could show you a group of architects and engineers who think 9/11 was an inside jobby-job, but that doesn't mean they represent a majority.

And then there's actual polls:

http://www.theisraelproject.org/sit...XKcOUJlIaG&b=7717029&ct=11147571#.UHOLo03R7E0

And 84% believe that “Over time Palestinians must work to get back all the land for a Palestinian state.”.

According to your link, the top priority for Palestinians is jobs. 83% said so. Conversely, only 1% chose "promote mass protests against Israel". Clearly, there are plenty of Palestinians who want "peace" so long as they think "peace" is a good deal for their people, and don't want it if it means their number one concern, good jobs and security for their families, won't be addressed.

Ahmadinejad's loony speeches get the media attention, but that's the sort of stuff Palestinians read in textbooks and watch on the TV every day.

I've long derided the Palestinian's penchant for violence and lack of Democracy. But I honestly believe that they are as likely to want peace as the Israelis. They just have the wrong solution to attain that peace (so do the Israelis).

I know you were a big fan of Limbaugh... and now think he's a windbag. But one thing he said, that I thought was right...was that in that conflict... one side has to "win". I think that's true.

What are you even talking about?

He's suggesting that Palestinians, as a whole, are violent people that want war. You must believe in mythology if you don't believe that 99% of Palestinians are warmongers.

I wonder if these Conservatives have ever seen Anthony Zimmerman tour Palestine on his show. It's my opinion that most people just want to be left alone to live their lives and even welcome foreign guests based on that and my own travels internationally. These people fail to realize that it'st governments and churches that incite the wars and violence.

Are there skeptics on this forum who actually believe that there are a significant number of Palestinians who want peace?

Yes. I think most of them want peace.

I also think most of them think-as do the vast majority of people everywhere--that their use of violence is justified.

Are you willing to defend the proposition that there is something about the genetic makeup of Palestinians that makes the majority of them fundamentally different than the majority of people on the planet?

but..but...they're Muslim......the only religion that has violence condoned in their religious texts....

What do you think is Romney's plan for establishing "a democratic, prosperous Palestinian state living side by side in peace and security with the Jewish state of Israel"?

Mind control, maybe?

That would be very difficult for Romney... I trust I need not go into the reason.:D:D:jaw-dropp

It's got nothing to do with genetics. It's got to do with culture and three generations raised on Nazi-grade propaganda.

Do you believe most Germans didn't want peace while the Nazi had power?

Of course not. I don't think that is even remotely true. If the protestants and Catholics can figure out how to live in pea then so can the Palestinians and Israelis. That's just cynical without any basis to believe it to be true.

Seriously I don't think you have a clue what you are talking about.

The Catholics lost.... then people stopped really caring all that much about religion. One side won.

I thought you were talking Irish politics. Catholics wanted one Irish country... they didn't get it.
THEY CHOSE TO LIVE IN PEACE. Sheesh, not getting every thing you wanted isn't the same as losing. Stopping the killing is a form of winning. No, I don't think for one moment one side won and you haven't made that case.

Did they get anything they wanted?

Ok.... maybe all paraphrase what he said.

One side has to lose..... or not get anything they want and give up.... before this conflict ends.

Actually it could end peacefully. It could very well someday be a majority Muslim state.... then problem solved. So you might be right.

Did they get anything they wanted?
Damn straight they did. They ended a war and blood shed. In the end that's everything.

One side has to lose..... or not get anything they want and give up.... before this conflict ends.
Sorry, it wasn't as simple as one side giving up. There was no unilateral surrender. The two sides decide to figure out a way to live in peace. That's NOT failure. That's NOT losing.
