Romney Becoming A Pariah Over Libya Attack Screw-Up

True, but Obama had a learning curve too. That Crowley/Gates thing at the beginning of his administration was an embarrassment, and a rookie mistake, but at least he admitted his error and tried to make amends.

And then repeated the same mistake with Zimmerman and Trayvon. Of course, I don't recall him trying to make amends for that error.

You mean the trigger-happy idiot who gunned down an innocent teenager? That wasn't an error.

You haven't had an on-topic post this thread. Your very first post was a very obvious attempt to deflect the conversation to something else. So don't throw out smarmy comments about how it is somebody else who can't read.

And the circle is complete.

Larry Flynt is offering $1,000,000 to anyone who leaks Romney's tax returns. I'm thinking Romney may be seriously considering this proposition himself...he has little to lose at this point. Mitt doesn't really appear to be very sanguine about the presidency anymore, since it has gotten to be so difficult.

Retiring AZ senator John Kyle decides to compare the Cairo embassy statement to rape,

While many top Republicans steered clear of criciticizing the Obama administration, Mr. Romney did have some allies, including Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona, the No. 2 Republican in the Senate.

“I don’t know if you’ve ever been involved in victims’ rights, but this is like a judge telling the woman that got raped, you asked for it because of the way you dressed,” Mr. Kyl said. “For a member of our State Department to put out a statement like that? It had to be cleared by somebody. They don’t just do that at the spur of the moment.”

No sen. Kyle its like the court saying, "we don't condone rape under any circumstance and we did not rape the victim."

Eta: maybe it wasn't intended as a factual statement.

Romney's satisfied "nailed that one!" smirk after tying another cinder block around his sinking campaign, as the press pool sits dumbfounded...

Having mostly spent his life at the top of a hierarchy Romney may be more poorly informed than the average journalist... re: snafu principle

It’s what I call the “snafu principle.” Communication only occurs between equals – real communication, that is – because when you are dealing with people above you in a hierarchy, you learn not to tell them anything they don’t want to hear. If you tell them anything they don’t want to hear, the response is, “One more word Bumstead and I’ll fire you!” Or in the military, “One more word and you’re court-martialed.” It’s throughout the whole system.

So the higher up in the hierarchy you go, the more lies are being told to flatter those above them. So those at the top have no idea what is going on at all. Those at the bottom have to adjust to the rules made by those at the top who don’t know what’s going on. Those at the top can write rules about this, that and the other, while those at the bottom have got to adjust reality to fit the rules as much as they can.

The more heavy handed you are the worse it is too. I recall that towards the end of the Soviet Union they had factories that only existed on paper with long chains of command that refused to admit they didn't really exist.

Good bosses learn to accept and appreciate honesty even when it isn't what they want to hear.

What's the over/under on how long before the Republicans accuse Obama of using this incident for political purposes?

Strange that the screwup everyone is talking about is what someone said after the attack, and not the inadequate security that led to the attack being fatal in the first place. I don't know who is responsible for that screwup so I won't point fingers, but it seems to me like it's the far more important one. But I guess that doesn't play to the partisan interests of the posters here. Rather ironic, actually.

Dear Mitt,

See? This is how it's done. Ziggurat is available for spin lessons. Please contact him and cease making a complete fool of yourself.

Sincerely,

A Fan
