If that's an official statement on behalf of the American government, someone should get fired.
Agreed. Whatever happened to the First Amendment being a cornerstone of American democracy?

Yes it seems so.
I don't think this day was picked by accident either.
Um, I'm sorry, but um, Duh?
I guess it could be more obvious to others, but I was reading reports that stated this was alll due to some anti-Islamic movie made by Americans that was just released.
Unfortunately I can't find any proof such a movie even exists.
Dear Egyptian protesters:
I am so sorry that your god is so weak and powerless and easily hurt that a dirt-ignorant mob of thugs must be brought forth to defend the honor of said helpless deity.
Yours truly,

Can't we throw Terry Jones in prison for trying to incite ariotwar or something?
It's pretty clear by now that's his objective. He's actively attempting to put US Soldier's lives at risk.
That's sad. Is there no condemnation of the thugs who actually violated embassy grounds?!
Here's a statement by Mohammed Al-Zwahiri, one of the organizers...
"I just want to say, how would the Americans feel if films insulting leading Christian figures like the pope or historical figures like Abraham Lincoln were produced?""
Like this? Or this? Or this? I'm pretty sure the Pope has been mocked in episodes or movies of of Family Guy, South Park, and Naked Gun. And while the Catholic League may call for a boycott, I don't recall anybody storming an Embassy.
Is there proof that they are rioting over Jones, or is that speculation based on the possibility only? Could be just uncoordinated coincidental stupidity on both parts.
9/11 is like Christmas for lunatics you know.![]()
So to cut the chase, pretty much *ALL* believer of all religion feel the right to defend their allmighty powerful gods.
Heck they even have sometimes a word for it : blasphemy. And even law against it in some countries.
Clearly, someone who has never watched Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons or Southpark ..That's sad. Is there no condemnation of the thugs who actually violated embassy grounds?!

An armed mob attacked the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, late Tuesday, hours after Egyptians stormed the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to protest a film they denounced as blasphemous against Islam. One American was reported dead and one slightly wounded.

Reports from Libya say religious militants have attacked the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi with rocket-propelled grenades to protest a film that allegedly offends Islam.

The Dutch film sparked today's storming of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo. The film is being produced by U.S.-based Coptic Christian Egyptians with the support of fundamentalist Christian preacher Terry Jones, who in March 2011 burned a Quran at his tiny Florida church.
Man, why does this stuff keep happening every time some nobody does something that Muslims perceive as an insult? It's not even any official US government action here.
