Yes, we've found cameras that have been tampered with. They will sometimes show that they're being moved, but none of them have captured pictures of what's moving them. These are always cameras that can be fiddled with from behind.

Seems to me that the easiest solution to this would be to set up the cameras in a way that a camera can't be removed from behind without another camera capturing a picture of the mover.

Alternately, you could (or just use them if you want to test the claim that Bigfoot can somehow sense electrical equipment) set up some camera traps activated by a simple mousetrap. There are lots of ways to go about this, but this way is my favorite. These can be both used as replacements for traditional trailcams and as a way to booby trap the trailcams you have set up. I suggest buying a mix of traditional and digital disposable cameras in bulk. I also suggest using camera setups like this as a little surprise for anyone who tries messing with the cabin. Perhaps if you partially hid the camera (save for the lens) behind some fake boarded up windows...

But it gets better! You can also set up hair traps around (both types of) the cameras to capture samples from anyone who tried meddling with either camera! With a little creativity and planning, there's virtually no way a big, wide wood ape (or a human hoaxer) can bypass this kind of setup. Come to think of it, you said something about activity appearing on the opposite side of the property where cameras are placed, right? Why not put 'em on all sides?

There is some electricity, but no A/C. The windows that open are open. I don't recall saying the windows weren't open. I also don't recall saying we don't look out of them. Of course we do.

.
I was referring to your statement that night vision equipment reflects off of glass. It's a moot point if you have no AC, as there is no way you had the windows closed.

We have discussed letting open-minded skeptics into the site on several occasions. It remains a possibility. Contact us through our website.

Will do. I would appreciate the opportunity, and thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

Doesn't anyone ever set up the cameras so that messing with one catches you on another?

Well no, then you have infinite regression.

If you point a camera at a camera the Bigfoot will be captured by neither. It knows where the front of camera #2 is and sees that going to the back of camera #1 puts it at the front of camera #2 and it never approaches either one. But you could try pointing a camera #3 at the area where any Bigfoot would be contemplating the avoidance of #1&2... but that won't work either because the Bigfoot won't walk in front of #3.

Bigfoot just doesn't walk in front of any trail camera no matter what kind of trick you try to play.

Cameras 1 & 2 facing each other, camera 3 way back with 1 & 2 in view, camera 4 way up in a tree with 1,2, & 3 in view...

This should make bigfoot leave the area, or learn to fly...

With regard to cameras being avoided or tampered with, I don't have an explanation for you, but as I've said, other animals have been observed avoiding cameras.

What species has effectively and intentionally avoided trail cameras to the extent that no trail cam photos of the species exist in spite of many attempts to capture the species in question.

IOW, which species are you talking about that has 100% avoidance just like all the Bigfoots of the world?

Then, for some reason, you are neglecting the most glaringly obvious, most rational explanation, that I have seen them and know about a half down others who have, as well.

Thousands of people, most considered reliable, trustworthy citizens, saw fairies during the big fairy craze of the late nineteenth century. They knew fairies were real--they'd seen them. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was among them.

The fact is that we know, from endless piles of evidence that people see things which aren't there all the time! (And likewise fail to see things that are.) "I saw bigfoot" should (and does) carry about as much weight as "I saw a fairy". For a person with any intellectual honesty, it should carry about that much weight even if you're the person who did the seeing. If you trust the evidence of your own eyes, you're a fool. Not necessarily stupid--AC Doyle was anything but stupid--but clearly foolish.

Saying, "I saw something that makes it hard for me to completely dismiss the possibility" is one thing. I can understand that. Saying, "I saw something, so despite the complete lack of bodies, scat, or any other sort of reliable evidence, I know it's real" is foolish. Whether or not BF exists!

(I think you may also be overestimating the scientific importance of BF. Outside of a few specialists, the discovery of BF is unlikely to be of much interest to anyone after its fifteen minutes of fame wear off. Why would an astronomer, or physicist, or research chemist, or steel worker, care? This is the other part that puzzles me about some people's obsession with the topic. Even if it exists, it's really not that big of a deal. When we finally found the Giant Squid, for reals this time, it barely made a blip. Most of you probably can't even name the decade, even though it was within most of our lifetimes.)

What Bipto should do, is sneak a couple of cameras in to the location and place them without anyone knowing. Then proceed to do the typical camera array on the hill, claiming outloud 'if they come down the hill we will certainly get a photo'. Knowing that they will not appear on the hill but in the valley, in range of his smuggled cameras. If no one knows about the secret cameras, I promise you will capture a hoaxer, or the cameras will be destroyed by one. Ideally the smuggled cams should be close to the cabin, and if one goes off u should immediately go retrieve it before the hoaxers can disable the memory card.

Why not put a camera way above pointing down to the lower one?

Stretched the figure on the left to make this folklore image about 4 feet wide.

Bipto,
have you collected stool specimens from the area and or seen places where you think these creatures have buried their feces?
Did you go to the spot where you all saw these animals, and look for footprints, hair, or other trace evidence? At what distance was it from you? from the others? Have you pursued these animals? If not, why not?
Thanks
p.

Is someone there constantly? You said that hunters using the cabin for a weekend didn't mention anything, was that what you are aware of or you asked and no one reported anything? When you swap out new people in the cabin does the activity level change?

Thank you for that admission. I'll call the county on Monday and ask them for plat maps.

I might ask what is your motive for this? If you post the location (assuming this is the location), aren't you risking someone going there and being killed? The TBRC states quite clearly that they are there to shoot one. Wouldn't you be a party to any law suit or criminal case that would come from it? Would the JREF board also be a part of such a case for allowing it to be posted? This seems like a dangerous road to be going down.

You're assuming here that the TBRC would be blazing away at anything that moved and asking questions later. Bipto has pretty clearly indicated that's not what they're doing.

Bipto,

When the team had their collective sighting, you stated that each person had different perspectives because of their positions. One member didn't even see the Wood Apes. Am I right that the members were together, arranged around a campsite when Ms. Strain said "Look.....!" How far apart were team members then, if each person saw different aspects of the subjects, or saw nothing at all? Were some vantage points obscured by bush or trees?

Why would you include the human-sized "sniper's position" impression on the ground as evidence of an ape? Given the fact that you have former military members at TBRC, would not a better explanation be that an earlier team member had simply hid out trying to get the drop on the prize, or some unknown human was laying out spying on TBRC for reasons unknown?

You have suggested that hunters leasing the cabins have not been harassed by apes because their stay is too brief. Do you know for a fact that hunters only use these cabins on weekends and never stay longer, or that some hunting parties arrive shortly after others depart? Also, didn't you say on your podcast that the first TBRC team this year encountered rock throwing and other phenomena? If true, how did the apes know that this group was part of a larger group that would be staying for a while?

Thanks again for taking the time.

Several of our members, including three others in the team I was a part of, have had clear visuals of more than one animal, based on size and color seen. There were two in incident I was a part of.

Bipto,
I've read most of this thread and read some stuff on your website. I've seen the above assertion in various forms. This amounts to many alleged sightings by several people on different occassions, day and night. You claim to be sensible and serious about your research, yet not one of these people were able to take one single photo of anything at all? You do all have a digital camera in your pocket, right?

Blood samples? You allege that a lab ripped you off, but you have more samples. You have chosen to sit on these for over a year, because?
I really want to know the answer to that one. If the blood samples exist, and if they were obtained in the way you claim, you must be able to prove this with photos. Otherwise there is no point testing the blood, as it could have come from anywhere or thing. You know this, right?
I look forward to your answers.

But we know humans/hoaxers, or bears for that matter, exist and mess with cameras, if not out right steal them. Wouldn't probability suggest that as the likely cause as opposed to bigfoot, yet to be proven?

(Yes, of course. The post to which you replied was a sarcastic homage to the "prove the hoax" claims, although I apparently left it too thickly veiled.)
