It is possible that Trump believes that the primary purpose of the president is to reduce business regulations and to tirelessly work for tax reductions for the rich. Here's a question: Do the birthers really believe their own claims, or are they just throwing red meat to their (dimwitted) base? I'm no fan of Donald Trump, but he's not dumb, and he certainly knows how to read legal documents. And Trump doesn't even lie outright; he just spreads innuendo, like "Well, a lot of people think it was forged... " or "A lot of questions haven't been answered...." Is all this really a way to avoid saying "Presidents aren't supposed to look like this guy?"

I've wondered how much of their nonsense CTs actually believe, and how much of it is just the first thing they can think of to keep the plates spinning. Maybe it's both; they rationalize it, and it becomes the "truth".

More like: if fifty independent sources that are not related in any way and have no personal gain in either side of the question, all say one thing and the fifty-first thing (written by someone who didn't read the book that was being promoted) says something else, then the size of the conspiracy becomes exponentially larger.
