The Fogbow critique was written by Epictitus. Do you know who that is???

The Critique also associates its "findings" with that Jean Claude-Tremblay guy you cited from Fox News -- the guy who said he was completely mis-quoted based on a 4 minute phone call. In addition, he also refers to that infamous screed in the National Review by Nathan Goulding. Goulding is the guy who claims to be an expert at swing dancing, but never attended a computer class in his life. No matter. In that article instead of specifying his theory as to what compression process was used, he simply mentioned both the long ago discredited OCR process as well as Optimization in the same breath, covering at least two of the hypothetical bases. So not only does he not attempt to replicate the layers found in the COLB, he simply speculates that it could happen. And there is absolutely nothing in the Fogbow article written by some unknown person that debunks the specific, careful step by step explanation in the video you claimed that
he "debunked."

Baloney.

I'll take Adobe's word over yours

Seeing as I have been using Adobe products for nearly 15 years, I believe my experience with their software over your apparent non-experience.

I've been using adobe products longer than that. But you seem to claim that a layer mask is a separate layer. It is not. Layer masks and clipping masks are contained in a layer, but their creation does not create a separate layer.

"A mask is an instruction in the layer that tells the layer what parts will show through and what parts will not (masked parts)."

That you have no idea what you're talking about regarding anything in this thread, and neither does anyone else you've cited in your failed attempts to support your utterly incorrect assertions.

Well, except for a single actual expert who nevertheless still completely disagrees with your utterly incorrect assertions.

Yeah, well you were the one who cited swing dancing "expert" Nathan Goulding of the National Review whose assertions were mere speculation and included the long discredited OCR theory. I think such a ridiculous citation requires from you a little more humility.

Baloney! With a thin line of brown mustard on top and small scattering of onion

I agree. The D-K effect covers the case where conspiracy theorists and skeptics have congruent modes of learning and understanding, and the conspiracist believes himself to be superior in the same mode.

There is also another case where conspiracists believe themselves to have superior insight and knowledge by virtue of another mode of learning. For example, faith healers and holistic healers believe they are naturally endowed with healing goodness, as opposed to classical medicine whose doctors must go through all that schooling and merely apply a rote diagnostic procedure invented by others, exhibiting no inherent skill or understanding.

In the ranks of pseudoscience this typically takes the form of being a "free thinker" or a "non-mainstream scientist," whereas formal education and practice are characterized as merely crutches, or brainwashing indoctrination in "ordinary" or "approved" science that skirts the big mysteries. Pseudo-scientists consider themselves unshackled from conventional thinking and method and so are much more able to make astounding progress than the scientific Establishment.

So profound.

Not to support Robert Prey in any way shape or form (because he's demonstrably wrong in everything he's posted on this thread) but I believe that "folk" has recently acquired an odd [racist] connotation in American English which it does not have in British English. So his surprise at the perfectly innocuous term "common folk" may spring from this.

Urban Dictionary

So, another Race Card player. Boring.

Let's see, this is the same Jean-Claude Tremblay that actually said on his website, “In my humble opinion, what I see about how the PDF is built does not prove any falsification. If there was tampering, we must look elsewhere and not how the PDF was created.”

He still claims that he sees nothing wrong with the PDF, but he's staying out of the argument.

Why the hell would we want to see this? Has any other President ever provided it?

Seriously? Why the hell would we want to see this? Has any other President ever provided it?

Again, seriously?

Why?

Why?

Why?

Why?

Again, why?

This is getting redundant.

More redundancy with no reasoning behind it.

Seriously why the hell would we want to see this?

Are you like some fetishist who gets off on the minutia of long dead people's marriage documents?

Oh....apparently you are.

Which would look just like the one you've already seen and declared to be in conflict with how you imagine reality is.

Lol. Really?

Good luck getting those records. At least half are completely irrelevant and most are protected by various laws from weirdos on the net.

For one thing, we'd like to see where else The Anointed One wrote that he was born in Kenya.

"Noting that Obama doubters were claiming the birth certificate was a fake, Winter wrote, “But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.”

“I never said that,”
Tremblay insists. “Winter called me and talked to me for about five minutes on the telephone, and she never said she was going to quote me. Then she misrepresented what I said.”

More of that comment.....

He asserted that the way Winter interpreted his comments about the use of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software in the PDF (Portable Document Format) file of the Obama birth certificate released by the White House “were also not 100 percent accurate.”

In his written comments, Tremblay expressed his consternation.

“First, I never thought that what I saw in the Birth Certificate PDF was a proof of its authenticity,” he wrote. “For me, what I have seen does not prove that it is legit, nor that it is a fake, nor that there has been any tampering whatsoever,” he wrote. “The title of the blog does not represent my conclusion. It would be unprofessional and simplistic within my area of competence to come to a conclusion

From the same source:

“First, I never thought that what I saw in the Birth Certificate PDF was a proof of its authenticity,” he wrote. “For me, what I have seen does not prove that it is legit, nor that it is a fake, nor that there has been any tampering whatsoever,” he wrote. “The title of the blog does not represent my conclusion. It would be unprofessional and simplistic within my area of competence to come to a conclusion one way or the other.”

And:

Winter did not respond to a WND call asking for comment.

And you can read his actual comments, unfiltered by WingNutDaily, here:

Not looking good, RP.

I'm quoting directly from his own website, and not from a conservative news source.

No, I cited him as someone who used the same Quartz PDFContext tool to create a PDF with layers. Which he did. And which none of your faux "experts" has been able to explain (or even tried to explain).

I think such a ridiculous citation requires from you a little more humility.

I am happy to disabuse you of that notion, then.

I think it time for Mr. Baloney to bring out his big guns

Perhaps he should call us all sheep again and warn us that Obama is going to make us all Marxist Muslims

or

flee

WND was not truthful about what Zatkovich said. WND, in fact, wouldn't know the truth if they took the Truthmobile to Truth City, Truthsylvania, to visit TruthCorp's truth factory and were given a free sample truth at the end of the tour.

Why do you trust them to be truthful about what Temblay said?
