It's 400am and a show came on the History Channel called "Investigating Free Money". It is supposedly an indepth look at what is actually going on with Kevin Trudeaus "self help" stuff.
The show begins with the tone of an investigative journalist trying to expose a conman (kind of like the guy who tried to get an interview with Peter Popoff and Popoff almost ran him over). They do stuff like say "Nora claims to have gotten over a million dollars of government money by using Trudeau's book...but what's really going on here?? We confronted Nora at her home" then there's the scene of them running up to her door and banging.
But it quickly becomes obvious what is going on here. This is just another of Trudeau's oinfomercials Because Trudeau has been banned from making infomercials, he's changed tactics. He's changed the fake interviews with the "World's foremost (whoever)" style of show with a fake investigative journalism show that even highlights Trudeau's past trouble and bad reputation. And because Trudeau himself can't appear in infomercials, they are only talking about him and holding up pictures.
The "investigative journalists" out to find the hard facts are...finding that Trudeau is totally legite and you can't go wrong with Kevin Trudeau.
What he's doing now is the most despicable thing he's ever done. This is manipulation at it's worst. It's the classic two man con game. One group comes in to warn the mark that this Trudeau guy might not be on the level. So they come to ask the hard questions. But in their investigation they find that Kevin actually is on the level!
And we know we can trust them because they were skeptical at first but now even they have been convinced!
So now when you try to tell someone whose been givin a Trudeau book that he is a known con man and has been under investigation, they will say "No, I saw the investigators, they came and realized everything was on the up an up. In fact, the investigators even started telling us what other great offers there were if we just bought his "Free Money" book.
Jeez oh' Man; this is the kind of con game right out of The Sting or Matchstick Men.
