Can we two have a dialog between ourselves, answer please.
Yrreg
Duologue. What is there to discuss? You believe in a god and I believe that all gods are inventions of mankind.
Can we two have a dialog between ourselves, answer please.

Then you will say that God for you is a sky daddy, or a flying spaghetti monster, or à la B. Russell (shame on him) a celestial teapot, that is your way of a rational discourse.
I have to sign off now, later I will be back.
In the meantime, please anyone, I need someone who will dialog with me one on one.

You don't know which means you don't want to know; for it is very simple, just ask yourself whether in logical anteriority to the appearance of the universe, is there something or there is nothing.
You are not using the idiom of moving goalposts correctly.Okay, guys atheists, what goalpost do you want to go into in re God's existence?
Which is true, there are. Yours is not the only concept of god.As usual we will have to agree first to work on words and concepts to come to concur on their meanings.
Would you like to talk about the concept of God?
But of course you will right away say that thee are many concepts of gods, goddesses, deities, divinities, etc.
Russell did not say god was a teapot; you are not understanding the analogy correctly. Then you will say that God for you is a sky daddy, or a flying spaghetti monster, or à la B. Russell (shame on him) a celestial teapot, that is your way of a rational discourse.
And again, that will be true. From Westboro Baptists to the happy-clappy churches - there are at least as many Christian concepts of God as there are church denominations.Next you will say that Christians cannot even agree on what is God.
We have always been prepared to grant you your concept of God, while not believing it exists. It's just you never get past that stage of your monologue. And here is the tour de force, "How can we have any concept of God when we do not believe in God?"
Most of us have read the Bible cover to cover more than once. We understand your concept of God, we just don't believe it exists. We don't need to believe it exists to discuss it with you. If you want to lay out your argument, just do it. Don't spend years expecting everyone to believe in the same things you do, just explain your argument. If anything is unclear, you can be sure people will ask for clarification. That is why I ask you to read on God the concept from among the best exponents of God in the history of mankind from "In the beginning God created heavens and earth" Gen. 1:1, to the current Roman Catholic Catechism.
No, because that would be a false representation of the atheists to whom you are typing. But, don't you see that your instinct is to maintain disconnection?
No, I am not moving the goalpost at all, you're the one doing it by naked allegation.
So, what do you want for a goalpost, tell me, and we two you and I will keep our eyes on the goalpost, but no bringing in penis, please.
What goalpost do you want, on the concept of God, on what is evidence, on nothing as the origin of the universe, but please not about penis.
You see, you will run away again.
I cannot have any continuing dialog with you atheists, I really want to engage in one, but it has to be just with one atheist poster at a time, because you are a tsunami -- I can't attend to you all, for it would be foolish of me to deal with a tsunami.
Do you notice that only atheists are talking among themselves here, because others who are not atheists shun this forum owing to you atheists always derailing and bringing in penis.

Read up on expositions in regard to the concept of God among the best exponents of theism; otherwise you are not getting connected, or at most only to Thor and Odin.
Next you will say that Christians cannot even agree on what is God.
You don't know which means you don't want to know; for it is very simple, just ask yourself whether in logical anteriority to the appearance of the universe, is there something or there is nothing.
You have to admit, "naked allegation" is an crazy mistranslation of "bare assertion". Another example of yrregular thinking.
There have been wars fought and quite a lot of people killed over Christians not agreeing on what is God.
Since you now concede that Thor and Odin really are GODS, I dedicate my soul to Thor, with Odin as sidekick. Thank you for clarifying that Thor is da man, and also that the dog you believe in is so wussy, it couldn't even have a catchy name. PR fail.No more adjectives or adjectival nouns, please.
I have to take a leave, but I will be back later.
In the meantime, do you accept that there is always something even prior or in the situation logically prior to the phenomenon of the universe?
Your concept of God is most obsolete, not adequate and definitely out of date.

wollery said:I'm standing 200 metres away from the North Pole. How do I go further North? Easy, I walk 200 metres towards the North Pole. What is north of the North Pole?
You forget to think, the answer is more north onward further north.
Now I'm standing at the North Pole, please explain, which direction should I walk in to go further North?
Funny, I never did get a response to this post -
Perhaps it finally made Gerry realize why his argument is invalid; made him realize that he can't actually walk further north if he is standing at the North Pole. I wouldn't expect a response from him. With Gerry, silence seems to be the only indication that one is actually getting through to him.
No, first we need to come to a consensus about what 'North' actually is. . .
Does North have a beginning and an ending?
