Merged Apollo "hoax" discussion / Lick observatory laser saga

Not open for further replies.
The same kind of people and the same kind of engineering that landed men on the Moon just landed our robot representative on Mars.

DavidC/FF88/and whatever else you call yourself, how very sad that you are too afraid of reality to grasp such achievements, and prefer to hide in a cramped paranoid fantasy world instead.

I think it sad that people like Fat Freddy cannot enjoy and take pride in achievements like this.

James Oberg had a wonderful term for Apollo deniers Ralph Rene and Bill Kaysing: "cultural vandals". I think it also perfectly describes Fat Freddy and others like him.

Here's the anomaly in question.

You've been saying anyone can do it for years. Then why haven't you done it, filmed it and posted it for anybody to see? Prove your own case, don't expect someone else to do your work for you. Not having a camera is not a good excuse. If you wanted to prove your case you would get one. At the very least you could borrow one or buy one and return it later. What are you avoiding?
If I put my mind to it, I could do it but I'd really rather not make my identity known by showing my face. I prefer to stay anonymous on the internet. One of you people could easily do it.

It's really not necessary anyway as anyone who doubts can hang some newspapers that have been taped together from a ceiling light and trot by it at a forty five degree angle.

Jarrah didn't run by it at a forty five degree angle as did the Apollo astronaut.
Your incredibly useless lack of logic is baffling. The flag used by Jarrah was square on and more likely to be influenced by "atmosphere", than one 45 degrees away from him!! Just unbelievable, you are a complete joke.
Wrong. The side of the flag at a forty five degree angle is closer to the pressure wave and will therefore start moving sooner.

LIAR. You have never answered this. Explain the physics of how anything pushes air 4-6 feet in front of it. Even sports cars in wind tunnels don't do this at 200mph!
You're misrepresenting the hoax-believer position in order to mislead the viewers. The hoax-believer position is not that the pressure wave is six feet in front of the astrontaut. You're trying to muddy the waters. These two videos show that the flag starts to move just before the astronaut trots by it. It doesn't start moving when he's six feet away. It starts moving when he's less than a foot away.

Here's the only other video I could find on the flag movement.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hesLihNFw6A

It's not an exact recreation as the flag is too small and he passes the book by it at less than a forty five degree angle but it gives a good idea of what's happening. He should have passed a teddy bear by the flag instead of a book.

Now stop with the spam and show us how it works against the know laws of physics.
As the astronaut approaches the flag, the pressure wave in front of him makes the flag move just before he gets close to it. The pressure wave seems to be less than a foot in front of him. Then the flag moves back toward him as the air rushes toward the space behind the astronaut to fill the void caused by his passing (see above video).

The same kind of people and the same kind of engineering that landed men on the Moon just landed our robot representative on Mars.
It may turn out that this was faked too.

So extreme paranoia and inability to wear a mask as well as having no friends. Got it.

It's really not necessary anyway as anyone who doubts can hang some newspapers that have been taped together from a ceiling light and trot by it at a forty five degree angle.
And again trying to avoid the burden of proof and get others to do your work for you.
Do you really think people don't see through your act?

Here's the anomaly in question.

Wear a mask. You cannot do it, because it cannot be done!

It's really not necessary anyway as anyone who doubts can hang some newspapers that have been taped together from a ceiling light and trot by it at a forty five degree angle.

Or drop a wide book onto a really light supermarket bag that doesn't move until the book comes into frame.......

Wrong. The side of the flag at a forty five degree angle is closer to the pressure wave and will therefore start moving sooner.

You are a comedian yeah? You are telling everybody that the flag on the left is more likely to move from "a pressure wave" than the one on the right:boxedin:

And finally we have a clue as to why you are so hopelessly wrong about this. A pressure wave is a sound wave. Can we take it that your own "atmosphere explanation" is now simply down to your ignorance?

You're misrepresenting the hoax-believer position in order to mislead the viewers.

No I am not, and stop using that lame statement over and over again. NOBODY on this forum is mislead or anything close to it - especially by your spamming obfuscation.

The hoax-believer position is not that the pressure wave is six feet in front of the astrontaut. You're trying to muddy the waters. These two videos show that the flag starts to move just before the astronaut trots by it. It doesn't start moving when he's six feet away. It starts moving when he's less than a foot away.

You are lying again. Simple frame grabs from that video into an animated gif - simple trigonometry shows it to be 4 feet....

At least 4 feet away...

Here's the only other video I could find on the flag movement.

SPAM.

Here's one I found, showing Jarrah White trying to debunk ground vibration, whilst simultaneously debunking movement of air as the cause, absolutely classic observation....

Pressure wave again:rolleyes:

And once again we have the question avoided, are you a spambot or do you live near Fresnedillas?

Answer please
Please give us the links, the physics, concise details or anything tangible to support your "atmosphere explanation". Perhaps you can also explain why a wind tunnel shows the exact opposite of what you claim?

Here's the anomaly in question.

Again with the spam.

If I put my mind to it, I could do it but I'd really rather not make my identity known by showing my face. I prefer to stay anonymous on the internet.
Why? My actual identity is known, Gee, I even posted my engineering credentials in this very thread, with the means to verify them. What are you afraid of? I can tell you. You are afraid of being found out. You are trying desperately to avoid the CIA/FBI/Mossad/KGB identifying you, right?

One of you people could easily do it.
If all those ebil gubbmint spooks are after you, why should any of us expose our true identities to that scrutiny? Oops, sorry, the honest among us already have.

It's really not necessary anyway as anyone who doubts can hang some newspapers that have been taped together from a ceiling light and trot by it at a forty five degree angle.
Hang newspapers from a lightshade. Gosh, that's real science, right there.

Wrong. The side of the flag at a forty five degree angle is closer to the pressure wave and will therefore start moving sooner.
Show your math.

You're misrepresenting the hoax-believer position in order to mislead the viewers.
HB's are plainly capable capable of making fools of themselves. There is no need for aid.

Once again, there are no viewers, only readers, and possibly lurkers.

The hoax-believer position is not that the pressure wave is six feet in front of the astrontaut. You're trying to muddy the waters. At less than a foot away, it now falls to YOU to eliminate other physical efects. Have at it.

Urge to give a flying poo? Nil

And now you have resorted to simply making rubbish up.

It may turn out that this was faked too.
Why? What reason would there be to fake Curiousity?

Rocky/FatFreddy88/DavidC/cosmored, posts 8673 and 8675 are waiting for you. Still. You have a lot of explaining to do, because according to your criteria you are a paid disinformation agent, and you have done some very questionable things in claiming support for your Magic Sand fantasy, while failing to address rebuttals explicitly refuting it according to your criteria.

Read and answer these posts in your words - no vomiting someone else's idiot youtube pap - or your unresponsive was will serve as your admission.

(from post #8729)
You are telling everybody that the flag on the left is more likely to move from "a pressure wave" than the one on the right
I was referring to the time when he was ninety degrees to the flag.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr76qSQ9ZQQ
(8:33 time mark)

When he runs by parallel to it afterwards, we can't see how much it moves away from him as the camera can't see it from that angle.

Simple frame grabs from that video into an animated gif - simple trigonometry shows it to be 4 feet
According to this video it's about a foot away, maybe a little more but not six feet.

Oh...just ...shut...your...ignorant...mouth.

Is there ANY scientific achievement you won't crap on?

You are known by the company you "keep", and continually referencing JW makes you look like you can't form your own opinions.

Why don't you invite your "buddy" Jarrah, to post here? ....and when he refuses, ask him why he is such an intellectual COWARD.

Why don't you invite your "buddy" Jarrah, to post here? ....and when he refuses, ask him why he is such an intellectual COWARD.
More than forty of my posts have been deleted here just because I was posting anomalies that you people couldn't try to obfuscate without looking silly. Jarrah only debates on neutral ground.

I was referring to the time when he was ninety degrees to the flag. When he runs by parallel to it afterwards, we can't see how much it moves away from him as the camera can't see it from that angle.

Completely irrelevant, you cannot possibly believe your own argumentTM.

Jarrah White:

1. Shows us that even when jumping next to bedsheets about 18 inches away, air does not move them. Busted.
2. Shows us the astronaut was close enough to touch the flag with his arm. Busted.
3. Runs past his own flag and it doesn't move until he is level with it. Busted.
4. Runs past his own flag several times and it BILLOWS, then stops in 4-5 seconds(8-10 at half speed). Busted.
5. His flag moves NOTHING LIKE the Apollo 15 flag. Busted.

Apollo 15:

1. Dave Scott is way beyomd 4ft when there is movement of the flag.
2. Two other videos show again that he was clearly close enough to have brushed the arm with his flag.
3. The flag doesn't billow, and oscillates progressively slower for 30 seconds (15 at double speed).
4. The flagpole itself moves right.

According to this video it's about a foot away, maybe a little more but not six feet.

You are full of it. I just showed clear proof that movement occurred at least 4ft away. You are completely cornered, you know your nonsense claim is dead in the water with the flag moving so far away. But, what the heck, let's look at the movement even further away. As soon as the astronaut enters the picture the edge moves slightly....

Six feet away, it moves more than Jarrah White's when he is level with HIS flag!

A moron HB wafts a book past a small flag and moves it with the air wake when it is level with it.

Yet again, the spambot refuses to answer the following....
