14 golds at the end of day 8 for team GB
Peace Crusader, I've been in the Olympic Park all day, finishing with watching Michael Phelps' last race at the Aquatic Centre. I can assure you (and I'm not going to be rude and say FYI) that the Olympics in London are going on. There are thousands of people attending eGvery day and millions watching all around the world, watching sportsmen and women giving their absolute best for their countries and their sports. Everybody in the park was friendly and smiling, no matter which country they were supporting. This is what is real, not some delusional people thinking that spirits exist and interact with people.
And you sit with your house covered in draught excluders and duct tape, waiting and hoping for the annihilation of two thirds of mankind. Don't you think that this is an appalling thing to hope for?
Next Wednesday will pass without a world war starting, and that, if you like, is my prophecy. Once Wednesday passes we will see who has the gift of prophecy, me or your actress.
But in the meantime, I implore you to develop a more critical approach to the things you apparently believe. The bible is packed with contradictions, outright misrepresentations and errors of history. Many if the so-called prophecies contained in the bible were written after the fact, or were made to fit by making up stories.
Coincidences and patterns are not meaningful in themselves, but humans have evolved to see meaning in them. This is useful when working out if the stripes in the distance are grass or a hungry tiger, but not at all useful when being led into the misconception that there is any connection between the events of 1939 and 2012.
It might be useful to you to learn a bit about the history of your religion, about the way the books of the bible were selected and chosen, about the earlier myths which led to the bible stories, and about the words used in the originals and the way they are translated. A basic biology book wouldn't go amiss either, but I imagine you'll have more interest in the bible than boring facts.
While I was at the Olympic park today, watching all those thousands of people cheering on elite athletes no matter what country they were representing, I thought about your ridiculous fantasy that in less than a week, the majority of them would be dying painful deaths. I actually found your fantasy even more offensive than I did before, simply because what you and your contemporaries believe is the absolute antithesis of the Olympic spirit.
