Julian Assange: rapist or not?

You try making any video come though this firewall.

Just an FYI, Ben. 4 Corners is a very reputable investigative journalism programme. So if you were ever inclined to watching it you can be sure it's not a low-rent "rah rah" Assange or CT type documentary, it will be meticulously researched and fact checked.

I haven't seen it myself (I'm restricted to 3G atm) so can't speak for the content, just wanted to point out that 4 Corners is a solid source.

I see it's also on youtube including extended interviews with Assange, his swedish lawyer, the lawyer of the women and Icelandic WikiLeaks associate Birgitta Jonsdottir. Playlist:

I'll give it a go. Our firewalls have to meet and exceed DOD standards. We are on a daily basis attacked by China. (I'm serious.) So I will have a look when I am off work.

It was reported on Swedish radio today that British authorities were intent on extraditing Assange, and that he would not be given safe passage to the airport from the Ecuador embassy.

"Ecuador's president Rafael Correa has agreed to give Julian Assange asylum, officials within Ecuador's government have said." -- The Guardian

Well, that totally answers the question of whether Assange is a rapist or not.

Seems like it's only an open question with the Swedish justice system, and only they can answer it to their own satisfaction--though apparently not to anybody else's. Which could be why so many people want to prevent them from answering it.

Why all the hate for the Swedish justice system?

I wish I knew!

It is usually seen as a model of civility.

This case is mostly about the USA's "justice" system (indefinite detention without trial, torture, capital punishment etc), not Sweden's.

Eh, no. This case has nothing to do with the USA's justice system. You may be conflating it with the Bradford Manning case.
