I still feel devastated by the failure of the prophecies of the spirit. Why have they failed?
Maybe I wrongly interpreted the prophecies. He said that the world war will originate from the Philippines back in 1980s in the middle of this year on a Wednesday and that the 2012 Olympic Games will not be held. I interpreted that the stop point was the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics on 07-27. The four Wednesdays under the sign of Cancer and the 07-25 Wednesday failed. All these events have come and gone.
The original text is in message 1944. How about if “Hindi nga matutuloy iyon” (“That will not be held”) means the 2012 Olympic Games will be completed on 08-12? That is the stop point. There are two Wednesdays during the Games – 08-01 and 08-08. There is still a problem at the South China Sea and there is a possibility that war would erupt there anytime because of the Philippines’ claim to the Spratly Islands and Scarborough Shoals. Just take care on these dates.
I cannot accept what some of you say that there is no spirit. I know there is a spirit that appropriates the body of Ka Apaz who we call Ama. I have associated with her since 1983 and I would know if she was just faking it.
I asked this holy spirit point blank one time how I will know who the true Ama is because there is also one who calls himself as Ama right at the village where we used to live in the Philippines, and others. He said to listen to what he says and I will know who he is. It took me eleven years (1983-1994) before I believed that the spirit is the spirit of Jesus Christ. With the prophecies failure, I again question his being the true Holy Spirit. I will continue my quest.

I simply say, that if you accept the JREF forums are made up of intellectuals and rational individuals, why do you continue to ignore everything and all that they have said?
My advice to you, as you haven't changed your beliefs, apparently, and in any way at all, is not to bother to come back here again. You are not wanted in any "intellectual" capacity here, only as a figure of fun and ridicule, as is obvious by most of the responses to your posts.
Sorry mate, but I suggest for a quieter life, restrict your beliefs and discussions with the deluded and the gullible around you, who deserve no more than that.

PC, please read the several posts by the other posters here. There is no reason to assume there were any prophecies, or that there is a spirit.
It is far more logical to assume that there is not spirit at all. Then everything comes together: No spirit means no prophecies, which means no failed prophecies, which means the world will continue to exist, with all people on it. No end of the world.
How did you determine that there is a spirit in the first place?
How did you determine this spirit appropriates Ka Apaz?
How did you determine that what Ka Apaz does is not acting?
How did you determine that what she says is not just playing along with you? You really seem to want the world to end, she might just want to humour you.
About faking: have you never seen a dramatic movie or play and felt for the actress wringing her hands and crying over her dead lover?
How did you know she was not faking it?
Why? Maybe this failure was meant to show you that it is useless to believe in any spirit.
Please take the time to consider what we are saying. If one person says you are wrong, s/he might be mistaken. If a lot of people try to tell you that you might be looking in the wrong direction, there might be something to it.

I am watching a live webcast of women's gymnastics even as I type this message. Nothing in the present geo-political situation remotely threatens the successful continuation of these Games right through to their scheduled peaceful conclusion on August 12.

I don't care how much her voice seems to you to change during her trances. She can roll on the floor and froth at the mouth and grimace for all she's worth--all I see is a pathetic elderly female pretending to be something that she is not. No. There were no prophecies to be misinterpreted, just as the turtle did not communicate with or marry the bagpipe.
The reason you can't see a difference between lying/not lying is because a real life human being has always been lying to you, so nothing has changed. There's no difference to notice.

The Olympics opened but after watching the opening ceremonies I have to say those who were predicting a disaster of some sort were right......
You're in denial, PC. I can understand. You've developed a belief system over the past twenty years that depends on these prophecies coming true, yet they did not. Smack, brick wall.
It's time for you to do several things, even though each is incredibly hard:
1) Realize that you've been misled. The proof is playing out live over TV networks across the world. The Olympics are happening. Therefore, you were misled when you were told the Olympics would not happen.
2) Don't try to twist what was said to you in order to meet the facts. "But maybe I misinterpreted something...." is the single largest source of frustration and time-wasting amongst failed scientists and failed prophets alike. They desperately try to save their "pet" theory, when there's nothing there to save.
3) Find a new target to work towards. Don't get hung up on specific dates, or specific outcomes. Maybe your new target is to help a person in need every day. Maybe it's to bring joy to someone's life. Something positive that comes from within, not a doomsday scenario that comes from belief in a con artist.
If you want to believe in someone, believe in yourself. You can be a positive force in the world to help counteract all the frauds and charlatans that exist. Let this entire 20 year scenario be a lesson to you: not everyone tells the truth, and there is a world of difference between "knowing" something and "believing" something.

PC, this is an important question, so please consider it carefully: do you know who else, besides yourself, was convinced that they would would know if a spirit medium was just faking it?
The answer is, every single person who has ever been taken in by a spirit medium who was just faking it.
Everyone who has ever been conned by a fake medium has believed that "if the medium was just faking it, I would know." And they were all wrong. Thousands upon thousands of them, every bit as convinced as you are that it was impossible that they were simply being fooled. Many of them were intelligent, otherwise rational people, and some had invested at least as much time and energy into their belief as you. And yet they were still wrong. Not unable to interpret correctly, not unworthy to receive the complete message, but just plain old flat-out wrong. 180 degrees wrong. As wrong as it is possible for a person to be, about something that they were utterly convinced, to their very core, that they could not possibly be wrong about.
So if it's possible for so many people to be so convinced that they were right about something that they were actually wrong about, what makes you think it's impossible that you could be in the same situation?
When you realize that you've been wrong about something you've believed in deeply for a long time, and invested a lot of your identity in... well, it sucks. It hurts, it makes you feel stupid, and it leaves you feeling lost and directionless. It sucks so much, in fact, that it can be very tempting to simply pretend that you don't know the belief was wrong -- to compartmentalize things and play make-believe rather than face the difficult truth. But doing that is not healthy or helpful. Especially when you realize that having believed in something wrong doesn't actually make you stupid, and the world has just as many cool, real things as it did before.
So I hope you won't do that.

I've been just kinda glossing over the Tagalog, as I do not claim to know much more than how to get my face slapped (only in the nicest of establishments) but that doesn't seem to parse? I'll double check with MJ (a native speaker) when she wakes up, but I read that as "That (it) was not cancelled" -- double negative and past tense, and "it" referring to something spoken of before. Kaya kong maging mali, ako lamang ng isang itlog...
