My Chinese isn't great, and again there are several ways to translate the verse, but absolutely no way to get "deadly smoke" in the first line or "mushroom" in the second.

What does “coastal borders far away” mean? Could they be the borders of the US which are faraway across the vast Pacific Ocean from China? California, New York, New Orleans?
What does “deplete clouds” mean? How are clouds depleted? Are they mushroom clouds of nuclear explosion?
What is it that “go up to the sky”? In a nuclear explosion, there is this column of smoke that goes up to the sky, isn’t it?
What is it that “go down to the spring”? Is it the radioactive fallout that goes back to be ground and joins the spring or the water? Will the water be contaminated that when absorbed by plants, the plants get contaminated also? Or as Revelation 8:11 of the Holy Bible says, “And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter”?
What is “golden mother wood”? Is this wormwood in Revelation 8:11?

But neither the madwoman nor the ghost made any claims here. (And I'm certain at least one of them doesn't even exist.)

PC's "out" is to be that the entity that the medium channeled wasn't the right ghost (not "the one true God"). He won't accept or admit that he was wrong, or even necessarily eschew the search for messages from "the one true God" by people like this medium.

But none of this changes the simple fact that he was wrong.
