No, tomorrow is actually Tuesday, in the UK, unless your Holy Spirit has prophecised that Tuesday this week, ain't gonna happen.

The Olympic athletes from all over the world have been arriving in London today for the great event soon to take place in eleven days time, or is that ten days without tomorrow. That is the problem with global predictions, the date line creates all sorts of difficulties for prophecies, particularly those that specify a certain day. In future, be less specific, it tends to be less embarrasing.

As far as the South China Sea, China is playing a long game. The latest news and informed opinion posted one hour ago said this:

"But the Chinese strategy is not without risks. Absent a diplomatic solution, China can only expect confrontations with the Philippines and Vietnam over fishing and natural resource exploration to continue and escalate. In the worst-case scenario, accidents could turn into naval skirmishes."

Confrontations expected perhaps, but naval skirmishes do not add up to a full scale nuclear war.

It is now Tuesday, 2012-07-17, at our place. It may still be Monday at your place or in the USA. I said I do not know if the Wednesday referred to by the Holy Spirit is the Wednesday in China or the Wednesday in the US. If it is the Wednesday in China, it is still Tuesday in the US. If it is the Wednesday in the US, it is already Thursday in China. But definitely, the world war will start on Wednesday. Our wait will not be long anymore.

Did you know that the number of days when I expect this world war to start has been reduced from 31 days to four days to just one day now? This one day is 2012-07-18.

The Olympic athletes and LOCOG may not be aware that the Games will not be held. They will get stuck in London when the war starts. I hope they will have time to be with their families.

No, a world war is not a remotely likely possibility because the territory in dispute is simply not worth the destruction such a war would cause. Not by a long, long way.

There are various ways to translate it, but the punctuation specifically rules out any mention of weapons in the first two parts. My translation would be;

Those flying are not birds,
Those diving are not fish,
War is not soldiers,
Good luck for the games.

Sounds like a prediction of the London Olympics going ahead - loads of people flying in to the UK to watch the games, swimmers and divers, competition without soldiers, and a wish for good luck.

Another way to translate it would be;
Those flying must be birds,
Those diving must be fish,
Combat is not in weapons,
Nature's games.

Interpret that how you will, but nuclear war doesn't seem to come close.

“War is not soldiers” may mean that a war does not necessarily mean that soldiers are needed, like now. Just push the button and a missile is fired. That is why in the picture, fire spewed out of the combatants’ mouths. Why is war included in the poem if it is just about the Olympic Games?

Why does Alex Chiu’s translation have the following:
“Millions of miles of deadly smoke, on top a mushroom and at bottom a fountain.
A sight out of people's imagination. Big trouble not solved, but greater trouble arrives.”

Are these additions by Alex or there are characters left out? We may have to get the whole 56th poem.

You may be correct in saying “Good luck for the games.” The games may refer to the Olympic Games.

It's also a bad move because it suggests that God lacks consideration for us as individuals. When God supposedly punishes us with a devastating hurricane, he's potentially killing innocent individuals to send a message to all of humanity.

What could that message possibly be? I can't help but see it as, "Even if you are faithful, you may still suffer or die for the faithlessness of others."

That's a pretty crappy deal.

God has control over the elements but not on humans. He gave humans the free will to do good and to do evil now. It is his time. I live on government money working two days in a week as a volunteer in a charitable organization. I am already old so it will be difficult for me to compete against young people. I just have to tighten my belt with the meager amount that I receive.

I have stock of food for three days and three nights. I will let my pet dog inside the house tonight because tomorrow will be Wednesday, 2012-07-18. I tape the house so that smoke does not come in. I usually am on my computer trying to impart to the world what will happen, including friends, relatives, neighbors, work colleagues, and others. It is up to these people to pass the message to their own friends, relatives and other people who I do not know.

My Chinese isn't great, and again there are several ways to translate the verse, but absolutely no way to get "deadly smoke" in the first line or "mushroom" in the second.

I predict that PC will fixate on the last line and ignore the fact that Alex Chiu's version is complete cobblers.

PC, you paint a rather sad picture of yourself. Your life in your senior years seems hard, and I can empathise with your lot, as a retired old person myself, living on a meagre income.

I know that all the effort that you have spent in the last few weeks (or is it years?), and faith, that you have placed in these prophecies, are going to fail. If I had invested so much time and emotion into something I never questioned or imagined would fail, and it indeed failed, I would be in a poor mental state following the non-event. That cannot be good for you or your family and friends.

My advice to you now, is certainly to prepare for what is to come, but be prepared for your life's work to fail. Leave something in your mind that can imagine failure and how you will be able to deal with it when the prophecies are proven to be what they really are, claptrap for the gullible and vulnerable.

You are obviously a good person, duped by superstitious nonsense. Your voluntary work should be applauded, and thankfully, I know that you will be able to continue with this, if it is your wish, long after the prophecies fail, and that has to be a very good thing.
