Install solar panel to reduce your payment of electricity bill. You may even be able to charge your mobile phone and your laptop and iPad with the electricity generated.
I already have solar panels. I can see a point to charging my laptop after a nuclear war (after all, who could possibly face a dystopia without being able to play spider solitaire?) but there will not be mobile phone networks and internet after thousands of nuclear bombs are detonated.
Do not forget to bring inside your house your pet (if you have any and you love them) on Wednesday, 2012-07-18 and Thursday, 07-19 (days in China).
My cat rarely goes outside, as she's almost blind. But being inside a house would not save any creature, human or animal, from a nuclear bomb.
Also, block off the exhaust screen (near the ceiling) of your bathroom/toilet to prevent smoke from coming in.
The what? We have windows (two) in our bathroom in this house. No exhaust screen, whatever that is.
There will be those who will vaporize and may not even know what hit them in the nuclear blast. Maybe those at ground zero.
Yeah, that's what happens in a nuclear blast. Everybody within range of the blast dies - the precise range obviously depends on the size of the bomb..
The Holy Spirit told us that we may not even be able to operate our electrical equipment later. So no more computers, TVs, tape recorders, etc. We have to remember what He said in the recorder that He gave to us. He said that we should be remindful (“matatandain”) and not be old (“matanda”) and forgetful.
I don't think you really grasp how severely the infrastructure that we take for granted would be affected by a global nuclear war. There would not be electricity or mains gas or mains water or sewage treatment. Or transport or shops or internet or mobile phone coverage or police or fire service or ambulance service. Or hospitals or schools or offices or government. Nothing. It would be like suddenly being transported back to before the agricultural revolution - we'd be hunter-gatherers but without anything to hunt or anything to gather.
Existing food stocks, bottled water and batteries would keep a few people going for a while, but the very few people who survive the initial war would live a miserable short life, suffering from the effects of radiation, without any easy way to procure and cook food, never mind anything else. Groundwater would be contaminated and diseases such as cholera and typhoid would kill people at least as fast as the effects of radiation.
I don't think you, or your blind 'medium', really understand the true extent of the global nuclear war she is prophesying.
If it was really a god that was prophesying this nonsense, it would have to be the most evil god anyone ever imagined. Fortunately, most of us realise that it is not a god or a holy spirit, just a deluded woman who has successfully fooled you (and possibly also herself) into believing she can channel an external entity.
