Screw you guys and your self-righteous circle-jerk of outrage. I'm voting for Joe Walsh because he'll stand up for me.
Isn't this kind of an insult to scum?

And if Ms. Duckworth makes an issue of being a veteran injured in combat... maybe it's okay for someone to point out that having your legs shot off--however deserving of honor and respect--is not the same as being qualified to govern.
Where are you seeing requests for donations?I'm somewhat surprised that a thread that is nothing more than a plea to donate money to a political candidate has seen this much action.

It happens when a douchebag attacks the troops. It demonstrates the emptiness of the default position of the GOP to support our troops. Most don't give a god damn about the troops. They are happy to be dismissive of them. Saying that a woman who lost both legs in service to her country isn't a true hero is pretty disgusting. Interesting that there are people who can't simply step up and say "yeah, the guy is a grade a prick he is".I'm somewhat surprised that a thread that is nothing more than a plea to donate money to a political candidate has seen this much action.
We are at war. We need people in congress who can contribute to the war effort and to the orderly stand-down and demobilization as the realistic goals of that war are met.
Then we need to see to paying for the costsof the war. That includes paying for the care of people mangled, visibly or otherwise, in that war effort. Tammy Duckworth has been addressing those issues.
Punk boy Walsh has not. He is too busy looking for inventive ways to feed the rich out of our pockets in the bone-headed bvelief that the rich will, maybe out of gratitude for what thios country has proveded trhem, create a few jobs for the rest of us.
What a sorry excuse for a government office holder.
Then to slime a soldier like Duckworth for standing up for her brothers and sisters is just plain low-class.
I got something to say to dirtbags like Walsh who keep telling poor people whose jobs his woners have been shipping off shore.
"Shut the **** up and go get a job you are mentally prepared for, like mopping floors and pay your damned child support, you worthless little toad. You had the chance to serve and didn't, so don't put your two cents in about those that did serve, especially those who show more moral fiber than you ever did."
The only republicon worth a damn in time of war or during the reconstruction that follows is one in uniform and on active duty.
Walking point seems like a good use for them.

I thought that was implied in "service of country". But that's fine. I agree.Anybody can suffer - it's her response and dedication to service to her fellow vets that makes her heroic.
The real deal is somehow much more satisfying...
Okay. There's one. Hardly the whole thread. Grizzly's claim has just a wee tad of hyperbole. The linked site appears to be a donation site
