...I just share to you His prophecies about the coming war and the 2012 Olympic Games. I say that if His prophecies do not come true, I will still pick out what I believe is good and discard what is evil, including His sermons. I will be tight-lipped about prophecies because the future is really hard to predict.

This answers a question of mine that you skipped. Even after your prophets predictions fail you will still Believe.

It's a pity really, this was the best opportunity, I think it's safe to assume that future predictions won't have a specific time frame associated with them, unless they are comfortably far in the future.

I think this is a key point. If (when) these prophecies fail completely, that should occasion a complete rethink of his whole attitude. Top to bottom. Soup to nuts. But PC already says it will not deter him from his illusions. He'll go looking for another god. It's sad, really.

That doesn't bode well. PeaceCrusader already knew his "holy spirit" had been wrong about WWIII, yet continued to believe. Also, he never mentioned that failure on this board, instead leading us to believe (by omission) that the "spirit" hadn't been proven itself false already.

PC, it appears your "spirit" or the woman pretending to "channel" it, is fraudulent. And although I don't like making accusations, it also appears that you are too, since you withheld pertinent information in an effort to falsely represent the spirit/channeler.

Do you have any better criteria than these? I like to know.

My sole criterion is to proceed on the assumption that no gods exist and no gods matter. Why should I subjugate reason and common sense to an untested god-hypothesis when I can live a fulfilling life without it?

I know that the Holy Spirit is different from the blind woman that He appropriates.

I'm wondering if this woman is actually blind, or if she has a seeing assistant in another room who feeds her information via an earphone. (I also doubt very much that she'd expose herself to a properly-structured test of her abilities, as she has a lot to lose if she fails the test.)

Those dinosaur comets are probably about a tenth of the size of the blasts that would come about in a no holds barred WWIII.

This is "old" and I'm being nitpicky, but the Chicxulub asteroid supposedly released energy equivalent to roughly 2 million Tsar Bombas (at 50 megatons, the most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated).

Satan does not know what will happen in the future. So do not expect him to give any prediction. Otherwise, his being a false god will be exposed.

But surely he could make things happen through his agents and powers of deception. Otherwise, Satan's not much of a boogeyman, is he?

He's now trying to say that despite this, he may not dismiss all of his "spirit's" teachings, which is ludicrous.

He's even gone as far as to say, essentially, that "if God loves us, this won't happen." He has his out. It's strange that it took him so long to come up with it.

It would at least be a sin to heed anything the false god says, wouldn't it? Yet that's exactly what you've decided you will do. The One True God certainly would not look kindly on such behavior. You know this is true.

Furthermore, you're suggesting to others that it is sometimes OK to listen to false gods. That is in direct contradiction to... everything ever said about false gods. You've almost certainly damned yourself. Unless... you're an agent of Satan himself. That would explain many things.

But that was a different One True God. He surely abandoned that false god and continued his search. This prophecy is from his new One True God.

Yes, if His prophecies fail, I will use the same criteria in determining a god that I will worship – that he must be a spirit who I cannot see or touch, that He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, and that He must live for eternity including during the creation of this world. If he fails in any of these, then he is not the only true God. I say only because there is only one god who is true (John 17:3). Do you have any better criteria than these? I like to know.

Yes, it was still last April (2012-04) that I stopped, but not quit, participating in Philippine Atheists Forum. Why? Because I was in the Philippines in May (2012-05) and came back home only in 06-03. Then, I have been occupied in this JREF forum. I prefer this forum because there is more participation here than in the Philippine Atheists Forum.

It is not a “her prediction” but “His prediction”. I still maintain what the Holy Spirit said that the 2012 Olympic Games will not be held and that there will be a world war prior to this Games on a Wednesday in the middle of this year, i.e. 06-27, 07-04, 07-11, or 07-18. The nuclear exchange will be for eight hours.

Watch out for Vietnam, one of the six claimants of the disputed Spratly Islands.

So rather than be just another mindless religious robot, mindlessly and aimlessly and blindly believing that all of this is in the hands of some spooky incompetent father figure who doesn't give a ****, I decided to look around for something else to worship. Something I could really count on.

And immediately, I thought of the sun. Happened like that. Overnight I became a sun-worshipper. Well, not overnight, you can't see the sun at night. But first thing the next morning, I became a sun-worshipper. Several reasons. First of all, I can see the sun, okay? Unlike some other gods I could mention, I can actually see the sun. I'm big on that. If I can see something, I don't know, it kind of helps the credibility along, you know? So everyday I can see the sun, as it gives me everything I need; heat, light, food, flowers in the park, reflections on the lake, an occasional skin cancer, but hey. At least there are no crucifixions, and we're not setting people on fire simply because they don't agree with us.

I think you asked this question before but it got overlooked.

What makes me alive is that the complex array of chemical, biological and electrical processes that make my body work are still going on. One day they will stop and I will be dead.

I imagine you have a different answer in mind; one which involves magic.
