Do a search in google for the state health insurance programs for your state. Go into a local state government office and ASK about who you need to talk to.

Whether YOU qualify for their programs, that is beyond me.

If you don't qualify for programs where you live, then CHANGE WHERE YOU LIVE.

When people complain that they need a national health care they often ignore state and local options that are available.

Utter nonsense? Millions of americans have done JUST that. If your job doesn't offer insurance, then find a job that does. It is rather simple. If your field doesn't offer insurance in any job, maybe that should be a clue that you might need to change careers.

Don't make ASSUMPTIONS about people.

Dont you think ive been there and done that? Ive gone down and found out I dont even qualify even when I was unemployed and making nothing.

YOU are the one making assumptions here my resume isnt the greatest but its not bad I have a college degree and experience in various fields and its difficult to find a job. I know people with masters degrees that are out of work. Companies are also working people 39 hours to avoid having to provide health insurance since the law requires 40 hours before the have to offer health insurance. Its not that easy.

And even if you do land a job that offers health insurance, most of them make you wait a period of time before you can enroll. My last few jobs it was 90 days. Get sick in that time and you're SOL.

To qualify you need to be destitute and have nothing unless your a woman with child or disabled otherwise at best you will get a little bit in food stamps.

Housing? Forget it the waiting list is a decade long.
Medical? Nope! Go to the ER is all you got.

I said you have a choice. You can work somewhere that doesn't have insurance, or you can choose to go to a job that does. That is your choice.

If you want to be able to qualify for programs that you don't currently qualify for, then you either need to change your job (so you make LESS), get a different job (so you make MORE), or change your location (because other places have different standards).

It is really rather simple. You have CHOICE... they may not be choices YOU want, but you still have CHOICE.

The only thing guaranteed to you when you are born is that you will die. Don't like it, then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

The issue (and I have conceded this point) is between the people under the poverty level and those who aren't. The people who are in between are the ones usually stuck w/out health insurance because they have low paying jobs, or their employers don't cover health insurance. When given that issue, CHANGE JOBS or CHANGE CAREERS

I love it when people make ASSUMPTIONS about others. You just made an ASS out of U and MPTION. I had to use the programs I discussed for several years. Unemployed, low income, family with kids. Was it easy to do it? It wasn't harder than any other program. The hardest part was swallowing my pride and accepting the help. Don't make ASSUMPTIONS.

Each state has indigent health care programs that the poor qualify for if they take the time to fill out the forms.



There are plenty of people who are not disabled and who are not single parents who qualify for california's indigent health care program. We can link to the requirements.

The only real issue is that there is a class of individuals who aren't able to qualify for the indigent health care because their jobs make too much, but who don't make enough to be able to afford insurance in their current jobs.

I've been there too.

If your job doesn't have health care, then CHANGE JOBS. (I have, and so have millions of other people). Minimum wage jobs usually qualify for state run health care.

The only ASS here is showing their ignorance of what it really takes to qualify for what little resources there are. Your attempt to show a state link just showed that. Not only have I myself attempted to qualify my current job I try to help people access what resources there are available and there aint much.

Addressing the bolded part here in California there have been so many cuts to all the programs theres not much left.

Example I needed a root canal and even with the sliding fee it was 600 which is impossible if your broke

Other resources have a waiting list a mile long

Others are no longer available

Others are not anywhere near where you are

Others you just dont qualify for

Looks easy using Google Fu but not so easy in realityville

Those services exist in EVERY state. It may not be what YOU want, but it does exist.

California has overspent for DECADES and now it is time to pay the piper... When the government is broke, there are limited resources.
