Any advice on my packing question?
I'll try (not the best packer in the world myself)
*According to the 5-day forecast, highs should be between 74-80F, so whatever you find comfortable there. I am bringing a lightweight jacket (lined) since evening temperatures will be in the 40F range. Chances for rain are about 20% daily, so I am not bringing any rainwear. Given the temperatures, a bathing suit may not be required.
*Sneakers/good hiking shoes, we will stay on the main trails but I expect we'll cover quite a few miles on foot. Probably need just the one pair of shoes, unless you want to switch off.
*If you sweat walking in 80F (I sweat in any weather), bring whatever is needed.
*I doubt we'll be going anywhere to eat that requires anything fancier than blue jeans and T-shirt, but depends what you are comfortable in.
* I always forget something (belts last trip). There will be stores and opportunity to pickup stuff. Remember if you carry on you are limited on gels, lotions and other stuff (cost me a can of shaving cream last trip).
* All in all, pack what you feel comfortable having for 4 days (the first day you're already dressed) and if you have to check it, no problems (just $25 less you'll have when you arrive).
Take care, got to go do my packing now.
