No intention to invade Philippines, says China

US says ready to arm Manila amid rising tension on South China Sea

The head of a Chinese government think-tank says China has no intention of invading the Philippines in response to a US pledge to help defend Manila's interests amid rising tensions in the South China Sea.

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said on Thursday that Washington is committed to the Philippines' defense following a series of Chinese intrusions into Philippine-claimed waters.

President of the China Institute of International Studies Qu Xing said on Friday that it was based on a "totally groundless" premise that China would invade the Philippines.

"We have never sent troops to invade other countries and we have never used forces against other countries," Qu told a media briefing.

Arming Philippines

The United States said on Thursday it was ready to provide hardware to modernise the military of the Philippines, which vowed to "stand up to any aggressive action" amid rising tension at sea with China.

What is the default font at this forum? Are people other than SezMe annoyed by the font that I use?

The default font that I use is Calibri, size 11. I prepare my answer in MS Word, copy and paste it to the forum’s reply box. I am not aware that the font where it is prepared is retained. It is not similar to Facebook then.

The 1908 Olympic Games were scheduled to be held in London. Lo and behold, they were. I do think history will repeat itself.

Did you know that last week, the President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino III, went to the UK and the US to seek their support to the country’s dispute in the South China Sea? Did the Philippine President get the assurance of support from the UK Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama?

Did you know that Manila or Metro Manila will be destroyed? Maybe worst than what happened to it in World War II. The Holy Spirit said that Manila will be erased from the map. I do not know if this is because of the rise of sea water level which will also affect other low-lying coastal cities and towns, or because of its destruction, may be by a nuclear bomb that it will become like the abandoned Chernobyl.

The changed font and idiosyncratic datestamp on your posts look like an affectation and, yes, it's surprisingly annoying.

While I can't imagine why you feel the need to compose your posts in MS Word, you are of course entirely at liberty to do so. I'd only ask if you would please make the effort to discover how to paste them into the reply box as plain text.

Approximate timings would do. Did the Holy Spirit say this would happen before the Olympics, or during your lifetime, or some time in the next 100,000 years?

Yes, timhau, London hosted the Olympic Games in 1908. It will be good if the 2012 Olympic Games will be like that. But I think what is referred to is the one in 1944. There is Germany hosting 1936 Games. Then starting World War II three years later. Will China follow the same trend? Hosting the 2008 Games. Will China start WWIII? It seems that we have a preview of what is to come. I hope I am wrong.

Most people are OK with it, but SezMe suffers from a condition where alternate fonts cause him to have seizures. It's the same thing that afflicted that dude in Miami, who ate the other dude's face off.
