Effort to Recall Gov. Walker Already Halfway to Goal!

So now ask yourself which side's voters would be more likely to lie to the pollsters?

The Calvin side:

9ba3e00a250b102d94d7001438c0f03b

Soon the spin will start from both sides:

Republicans: "This is a clear message that the citizenry are for more limits on Public Unions."

Democrats: "This is a travesty. The Republicans outspent us and so clearly we must fix the Citizens united ruling."

(or something like those)

How about the recall was seen as a temper tantrum by unions and a good portion of the both sides agreed and chose to simply keep with the status quo and that there isn't any message to be taken from this other than that... Naw, that will never happen. Spin away silly people, spin away.

This is still a Dem win though!:boxedin:

If I were a Dem looking for a silver lining, it would be that they made Republicans spend a lot of money defending Walker, which might have been used elsewhere.

According to the New York Times, Walker and his Republican allies spent $45.6 million on the race as of May 21, while Barrett and his allies have spent $17.9 million.

Plus wasn't it about 10,000,000 in taxpayer money for what really was a frivolous recall .

Yeah, after this load of nonsense, hard feelings and money down the tubes, don't be surprised to see support (from both sides) for the idea of changing the recall process to only allow recalls in the case of actual wrong-doing, not just policy disagreements.

It would be pretty funny if Barrett came back and won, though. Not because I care politically, but I'm sitting on the porch right now having a pipe and I can hear my neighbor (big union puke) across the street, raging out and smashing stuff. What if he wakes up tomorrow and finds out he murdered his coffee table for nothing? :D
