Effort to Recall Gov. Walker Already Halfway to Goal!

Which means they have 4.6 million people who didn't sign.

Walker apparently only had 1,128,159 votes in his favor when he was elected. That means nearly as many people signed the petition to recall him as voted him into office.

You're assuming all the people who signed are 1) valid and 2) will actually show up to vote.

They collected twice as many as they needed to be sure they had enough. How many show up to vote is not a major issue. As long as more who want the nutter gone show up, Il Duce is toast.

The population can be divided into three groups: those who want him gone, those who want to keep him in office and those who don't give a rat's.

He has stepped on too many toes since he took over. A lot of people who voted for him are embarrassed, and he has done nothing to make more friends. This is not good for him.

I'm not assuming either of those things.

You said that 4.6 million people didn't sign the petition. I pointed out that not even close to 4.6 million voted for him, nor are the 4.6 million who didn't sign guaranteed to vote for him during the recall election. And I imagine that some who voted for him also signed the recall petition and will show up to vote against him.

I've already got an avatar wager with Wild Cat that Walker will be recalled.

I'm feeling good about my chances :)

Which of course doesn't make it impossible.

It does however water down the credibility of such claims. After you hear it a dozen times or more only to find out that there wasn't any such thing each and every time people start to ignore you.

Just out of curiosity, what evidence are you using to justify your suspicion?

Votes that were lost for a period of time.

Also, Walker has stated that he's not above using unethical tactics. Remember when he stated that he seriously considered planting violent people into the Wisconsin protester crowds? The guy is scum, it's reasonable to suspect he'll use any tactic to win, legal or no.

I thought you were going to go there. We covered this back in April. Remember, you were in that thread.

It was "fake David Koch" who kept bringing up unethical tactics, Walker responded to that one by saying, "Yeah, we thought about that".
That's it, not much of a smoking gun there.

Now, I know you hate Walker, and that will never change. However, if you are going to claim that he has done, or will do, something unethical / illegal, please provide some evidence to back your claim.

No need to focus on unfounded claims. In my opinion, Walker has done plenty which is on the record that makes him worthy of recall. Better to put one's efforts into recalling him for the crapola he has done, as opposed to wasting time/energy/resources speculating about the crapola he may or may not have done with little to no evidence to back up said speculation.

http://badgerherald.com/news/2012/02/28/poll_finds_walker_in.php

A national polling organization unveiled extensive data from throughout the state on Tuesday matching up candidates against Gov. Scott Walker in the upcoming recall election, and concluded the governor is in for “the fight of his life.”

Public Policy Polling’s data suggested the polling numbers are some of the most encouraging figures for Democrats recorded since last August, with the majority of those surveyed disapproving of the governor.

Polled voters were evenly split on whether to recall Walker, with 49 percent in favor and 49 percent against the recall, according to the poll. Walker’s approval rating came in at 47 percent, 5 percent below his disapproval rating of 52 percent.
