The Incredible odds of fulfilled bible prophecy

Think of it as practising in the nets for the day when you might have to face up against a real apologist.

.....and don't forget the great service you all do with educating and at the same time entertaining the lurkers.........like myself.
Please, please, please and another please with sugar on top, don't stop.

Thank you.

It comes as a shock to me too - I just spent two weeks there....

Ask me! I was even under the illusion of living there! What am I going to do now? Cease to exist as well? Trying to find out where I really live?
DOC, can you help me?

The Follow up:

I absolutely love this guy. He's my new mental image of you-know-who.

Curse you, Aberhaten!

Good god DOC, your wriggling is pitiful. By the way DOC, I don't think that your search function is playing up, I too searched through your posts for any evidence for the truthiness of the New Testament and for any evidence of fulfilled biblical prophecy. It came back blank.

I guess that's why they accepted the authority of Nebuchadnezzar. You get to survive and suffer no more damage from him. And it's logical to assume that a guy that can destroy Jerusalem could do some serious damage in 13 years on Tyre.

From Wiki on Nebu.

After the destruction of Jerusalem, Nebuchadnezzar engaged in a thirteen year siege of Tyre (585–572 BC), which ended in a compromise, with the Tyrians accepting Babylonian authority.

In my book if you accept the authority of an invading army, you lost, and your nation as you knew it is no more, no matter what name you give it.

France says "Hi!"

France says "Hi!"
How can France possibly say "Hi!" or anything else? It ceased to exist not merely once but twice in the past two centuries. First in 1871 in the Franco-Prussian War, and not content with that, this non existent country fought two wars with Germany, becoming doubly non-existent in 1940.

In fact, not twice, but four times in these centuries. I missed another double non existence situation in 1814 and 1815, when Napoleon capitulated on two occasions.

Its opponent, Germany, suffered the same fate in 1918 and 1945.

No wonder the Euro's in a goddam mess.

Ahh...but where is the prophesy that France would be wiped out. It only counts if some Old Dood™ rambled on about it in a dusty old tome. No prophsey, no wipey.

And a big hi from Flanders, which according to Doc's reasoning has ceased to exist many times in the past.
Don't even get me started on that one. But interestingly, even as I write this, my wife's on the train from Mechelen (Flanders) to Paris (France). If neither of these regions in reality exists, she's got serious problems. But when she gets back I can ask her if she was visiting places or voids.

Manchuria is a bit of an odd case. It's been invaded by both Japan and the Soviet Union, neither of which exists any more.

Do places like that pop back into existence in the DOCiverse or is it still not there?

A girl friend of mine is on the train from Brugge to Antwerp as I type this. Pity there's nothing to look at through the train window.
