The Incredible odds of fulfilled bible prophecy

These are verses that are good examples of things that would not be made up by a story teller inventing a story about the risen Messiah.

Translation: they weren't made up.

Christ could have had his glorified body which might have been somewhat different than his normal appearance and certainly different than the last few days of his life when he was under great stress.

Even people like John Lennon seemed to have a different look every time you saw them.
:sdl:

Just as John Lennon sometimes changed his hairstyle or glasses, Zombie Jesus mightn't have been recognized by his disciples. I will ask a priest about this sometime. Fantastic logic.

Not for DOC to answer (please dear God no), but for the rest of you who have actually read on the subject: Is there a consensus among the religious that the resurrected Jesus would have the marks on his hands? One of the leading lights of the 9/11 "Truth" movement, Steven Jones, is a mormon that wrote an essay about how Jesus walked in the Americas, based largely on finding marks on hands in meso-American art. Is this a common Christian view too? If so, maybe someone might have noticed that the dude had holes in his hands?**

**yes I realize that the Romans wouldn't have actually driven nails through his palms, but just assuming for sake of argument.

John 20:
24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and see my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and put it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28 Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

We've already spent pages and pages and pages talking about Tyre. How can you rebuild a city on the mainland where the materials of the city are under water. Those buildings under water can never be rebuilt. If 50 buildings that make up a city are washed out to sea in a Tsunami those 50 building can not be rebuilt, they are gone never to be used again.

And how do you know that Herod wasn't talking about the new different Tyre on the Island and not the old "Tyre on the Mainland" whose buildings were destroyed -- you don't.

A new different Tyre? You are confusing the bible with Michelin.

50 buildings that make up a city are washed out to sea in a Tsunami those 50 building can not be rebuilt, they are gone never to be used again.
So we may say that 50 buildings have been destroyed, not that the city has been destroyed. Most cities have lost buildings in such numbers to flood or fire. London and Chicago are examples of much more serious loss to fire. But the buildings were replaced, and no sane person would describe that as the permanent and final destruction of these cities.
And how do you know that Herod wasn't talking about the new different Tyre on the Island and not the old "Tyre on the Mainland" whose buildings were destroyed -- you don't.
He was talking about Tyre, and if the prophecy had been fulfilled, there would have been nothing called Tyre to talk about

Doc, the Tyre prophecy has either been fulfilled or not fulfilled. Which is it, yes or no?

This thread is pointless. Many posters have pointed out that the prophecies about Tyre, Egypt, Babylon, Nineveh and Jesus have been refuted in very specific terms. DOC has shown he's impervious to the facts. I intend this to be my last post on this thread. I urge the rest of you to follow suit and let the thread die. Sixty-six pages is already too many.

I concur. Doc would cut his tongue out rather than admit than no bible prophecies have been fulfilled. None have been fulfilled, so what point is there in carrying on?

You're spamming, we've already spent many posts on Tyre forty or so pages ago.

Already been given, read the thread.
Nope. Except for the "we've already spent many posts" part your statements are untrue; you haven't answered the failed prophecies in your babble at all, just dodged, evaded and squirmed away. As usual.

Because there's no "new different Tyre on the Island". The one that's there now is the same one that's always been there.

It has never been destroyed. Not by Nebuchadnezzar. Not by Alexander. Not by anyone.

Your opinion is noted, if people are interested in all of this I would advise them to read my many posts I left on this issue around 40 or so pages ago.

Akhenaten, if you continue to talk about issues like Egypt and Tyre that I've already left many many posts on I'm going to block you. We've moved on.

We have read your posts. The issues like Egypt and Tyre are the issues. You have not provided any evidence of the success of any biblical prophecy. Care to start now?

This is supposed to explain why Mary Magdalen mistook him for a gardener? Gardeners look as if they have glorified bodies...

I thank you for bringing this in; as stated, it is logical to assume someone making up a story about their long awaited great Messiah would never make up a verse like this -- thus it is logical to assume it wasn't made up but true.

And are you saying there aren't good looking, tan, in shape, gardeners out there?

Off topic. Lots of fiction has unexpected plot twists and turns. What about furnishing us with some fulfilled bible prophecies?

What makes you think the gardener was "good looking, tan, in shape," and what does this have to do with the OP?

Or at least link to your own posts on the subject?
As I've said a few days ago my search function does not work on this site. I even messaged a moderator about that. They said erase your cache, but that didn't work. It might be my browser or the fact that I have dial-up but it simply does not work.

I left many posts about Tyre and Egypt in my 240 or so posts, I don't have the time to repeat those many posts.
