North Korea launches rocket

Not a joke for the Phillipines, which it's going over. :-/

US official is saying it got off the launch pad but broke up shortly thereafter.

Waiting for NKNS to report that the first North Korean has landed on the Moon

CNN's guy in NK's elaborate press room is reporting no officials are saying a thing at the moment.

Hehe, the guy just said that the last time it also was a failure, but they announced to their own people it was in orbit singing revolutionary songs. :dl:

Of course the North Koreans will be shown endless reruns of it successfully getting off the launch pad.

LOL - I just checked, nothing coming up

Mind you if I was called Kwangmyongsong-3 I would crash during the launch as well

With nothing better to do under the fog of war, now the talking heads are ruminating over the importance of the elaborate press area with invitations to western journalists.

Hahaha. Their newspaper headlines will read "Self Destruct Mechanism on Rocket Huge Success!"

I am pretty sure you have to feed scientists for them to design stuff correctly...

Did you see the close-ups before they shot it off? I think it was made from paper mache.
I mean, we've got private rocketeers here that have had more success shooting off these things than North Korea.

if you do a google image search for Unha-3 and filter by large images, you get a lot of pictures of nail polish :confused:

in other words, got a link? :D

The map on the ABC (Australia) news website cracks me up;

Linky

S. Korea - lots of detail, roads, towns etc.
N. Korea - blank
