That's what I want too, but the mob (Spike Lee, Al Sharpton, and the New Black Panthers....) is looking for an actual conviction as well. I'm not sure how they will react if that doesn't happen.

She also claims the police did only a short interview initially and then ignored her. The police story is that she refused to be interviewed and only agreeded on the third request.

No, I'm under the impression that Zimmerman's actions weren't justified by what LTC seems to have implied was a reasonable need to observe a suspicious person.

DUH! Given that he had no probable cause even to maintain surveilance means that his actions weren't justified.

There is also the fact that everything he did was, from a tactical point of view, stupid.

So far, Zimmerman hasn't said much of anything particular, either on his own or through his lawyer. The Sanford police have leaked multiple accounts of Zimmerman giving an improbable story - so far, he was both attacked from behind and punched in the face.

Of course, their own police chief also said that Zimmerman's 911 tape showed that Zimmerman didn't't know Martin's race, even though on the actual tape, Zimmerman identifies Martin as black. At this point, pretty much everything they say isn't trustworthy, so I wouldn't put their words into Zimmerman's mouth.

And so the evidence does support his self defense claim. It doesn't completely support it, and the evidence also supports versions where self defense isn't a valid claim.

Evidence can support more than one hypothesis.

Obviously, or they wouldn't have recommended a felony charge, as has been stated numerous times.

They can recommend any charge they want, but if they don't do a complete enough investigation to back up those charges, the SAO cannot do a damn thing about it.

"Here, here's the charges we suggest."

"You don't have enough evidence, we can't do anything"

"But we suggested a charge...."

"Correct, but your charge isn't supported......get more evidence...."

"Um......about that....."
