Did Martin have drugs on him?

Was his violent reaction to Zimmerman's questions because he didn't want to be arrested?

Is that why Martin does not call 911?

So now he had drugs on him and the cops saw no point in mentioning that either?

Maybe it's in the audio? Maybe Trayvon says "ow"? My point is that this is now an allegation. So my question isn't "is this proven", but "if proven, doesn't this blow Zimmerman's case out of the water if he pushed first?"

Ok... & why would the police hold on to the details of that until now?

Because it was part of an ongoing investigation and then handed over to the DA, this does change things slightly.

I am not sure that a gun was needed but that will be part of the judicial proceedings.

However it does make me question why a medical exam was not preformed on Mr. Zimmerman.

If George physically threatened Trayvon, the kid would be justified in hitting him. As far as Trayvon knows, George was a thug out to rob him.

George was just a wannabe, he wasn't a cop. He didn't have the right to detain Trayvon, but he seems to have thought he did.

I don't believe following TM indicated that he thought he had the right to detain him.

It happened in his back yard. He called 911, he gave a statement to police, he gave an interview to the news. He didn't wait. This man hes been mentioned in the thread multiple times over the last few days.

The questions about following in and out of the car aside for the moment. Assume GZ followed TM and got relatively close right before the shooting, and TM (on the phone with his GF) stopped, turned and asked
'why are you following me?' and GZ responded 'what are you doing here?'

Zimmermann varwoche, Zimmermann.
The only impression I get from the leaks of the last few days is that they are contradictory and that the SPD or "the authorities" are suffering from a case of schizophrenia. Different people there seem to have differing opinions on whether Zimmermann should be prosecuted or not.
I'm not sure how much new information has been added. Is there anything by a third party witness about how the altercation started? I have looked over the testimony of "John" but that seems to miss that part.

He gave his statement to police that very night. IIRC he's a 13 year old boy who was out walking his dog.

The 911 calls released to the press only have one male witness. He indicates that the shooting happened in his back yard. Do you believe this caller is John?

IIRC he was treated by EMTs at the scene.
