Does Rob get put on retard status every time he poasts a new video on YouTube so you guys have a chance to offer two weeks worth of bias critique before he's able to defend himself?

Would you like to defend his corner flabio?
What do you think of his latest idea?

Unfortunatly Rob is the victim of his own posting style, I myself can vouch that there is no favouritism on this site, WFS cannot say the same.

Things aren't exactly 100% at WFS at the moment, you know, money buying clout with the admins and all, but that's never stopped you from nic switching and going back every now and then. Now has it, Buster?

No, not quite yet. I’m waiting for Rob to let me know where I can get a burger and fries for five bucks first.

There might be hope for you yet. Just apply the same standards to all his other claims.

He alone is responsible for his status. Certainly every time he spouts his infantile gibberish he does make himself look like he's shouting out for the men in white coats to come visit.

Are you a left sock or a right sock?

I’m waiting for Rob to let me know where I can get a burger and fries for five bucks first.

Why that would be at MacMenards of course. A place where you eat for free by simply handing over silly notes and writing daft things. Business is doing well there I believe.

I would sign up again now that Im a committed freeman but alas there are no freemen on the WFS.
All thats there are disgruntled volatile and potentially dangerous characters I wouldnt want to be associated with.

Well come on then, no dwaddling, be the first to loose 125 CN to the fraud man

Why is that?
Do you believe the success or failure of Rob's new venture will be determined by whether or not Rob can find an outlet that sells a burger and fries for $5?

Obviously what's happening at that bastion of free speech is something you would want to bring up in the middle of your passionate screed about how horribly poor little martyr Menard is being treated just for talking about freedom (and also insulting the site and everybody in it and openly declaring that he is only here to troll and antagonize, but, you know, details)

I'm sure you are just as outraged over Jargon Buster's bans for asking questions (or the bans of everyone else suspected of being him, or being from here, or discovered to have any knowledge about this site after a mod linked here).

Or, alternatively, do you have links to JB's alleged violations that would justify it?

I've forced myself to watch a few of our "esteemed colleague's" videos including his latest. To be blunt, there is now a period of time that I can never get back and should have used for something more productive such as picking up the dog's waste from the back yard after the spring melt.

As a means of convincing people that his ideas are legitimate and able to do what he says it does they fall short on a number of presentation grounds, and substantively hold up only if the person lacks the ability to question what is being presented in anything more than a superficial manner.

From as presentation perspective, the "wall-o-text" and use of yellow as a bolding colour falls flat and by filling the screen with text he is overwhelming the viewer with information, unfortunately, this has the effect of either causing the viewer to shut down and accept the statements unquestioningly, or to start thinking what is he actually trying to say. Fewer bullets per screen would be more effective.

He also has a distressing habit of reading what is on the screen, screen shots are much more effective if the slide covers only the main point and the speaker is able to expand on the general topic listed as a bullet - this is reminiscent of the dreaded "Death By Power Point" presentations that I dread when teaching new military instructors, or young lawyers presenting summaries of cases to executives.

The frequent changes of costume and the manner in which Mr. Menard presents himself are a real hindrance to his message. He is unable to maintain eyecontact with the viewer either shifting his eyeline up and to the right every couple of seconds, or turning around and speaking to a whiteboard. The inability to maintain eyecontact is seen by your audience as either an unfamiliarity with the material, or a lack of confidence in the topic - not a good thing when you want them to "Send money". The frequent costume changes simply make the whole thing look unprofessional, as does the loose hairs (long hair's fine, but it needs to look neat and under control, or the presenter looks sloppy).

The outdoor shots are the weakest part of visual appearance - being done with a handheld camera without some form of support the very visible shakes distract from rob's message.

Now, my big beef is with the subject matter of his presentations - I've looked at his 96 is the fix and his latest effort with consumer bills, and the content of the presentations didn't convince me that these concepts would work.

The logic of the Burger purchase is flawed beyound all recognition - a $5 burger does NOT represent $10 to the Cdn economy - it represents $5. He glosses over how the various acts he cites actually work (hint: banks don't create money - the Bank of Canada set the monetary policy re how much money is in available for the economy, the Bank of Nova Scotia, et al don't get to do that.)

He also fails to back up his central concept with actual example sof success - telling me that this brand new and that you hope some people will try this and that it works for them is not instilling confidence in your economic theory.

Then of course there is the request for money to join the ACCP - seems too good to be true - $100 t9o join and then $125 month to get $2500 in groceries, etc? wow! Wait aminute, if all I have to do to pay for that stuff is to sign the bill and create a "consumer bill" that can be redeemed at any bank then why do I need the "card"? Why don't I just sign the bill without the pesky card? How is this different from a debit card backed up by my bank account? Never explained and hand-waived away.

Looking at the acts he cites, it is evident that our boy is using the buffet style of statutory interpretation - a little of this act, and a bit of that act and I can make it seem like there's an endless supply of cash out there just waiting for you to claim it! Until you eithe try it, and find out that the real world doesn't quite work that way and it is acts as a whole that govern how things work, not just the parts we pick and choose.

Overall, I give the Menard videos a C- for visual quality, a D for presentation, and an F for content.

I always thought that not being able to look somebody in the face and say what you gotta’ say is an indication of dishonesty. But since we are talking about looking into a camera my intuition on that behavior may be inappropriate.

But, to me, the presentation comes off as some sort of deception. Hence I agree with your D- for presentation.

We've explained Driedger's Modern Principle to him more than once. Needless to say, he didn't get it.

Thank you both for your comments, I wanted to use the "failure to maintain eye contact is a tell for dishonesty", then decided that I'd pretty much said that, guess I should have been more explicit.

There are people here who know better than me, but isn’t this essentially the same thing as setting up a phony line of credit, or making up phony a credit card?

Interesting - I hadn't read all of the posts and didn't realize that Rob was actually offering a credit card for sale. In the United States, there is a statute which prohibits "knowingly and with intent to defraud" using or trafficking in an unauthorized "access device." An "access device" is later defined as "any card . . . that can be obtained to obtain money, goods, services, or any thing of value." Violations carry a prison sentence of up to 10-15 years, depending on the type of offense.

There surely must be a similar statute in Canada - naturally, the law wants to prohibit people from manufacturing and selling bogus credit cards. I would imagine that if law enforcement catches on to this that being suspended from this forum will be the least of Rob's problems.

So, lets say I get the card. What exactly is going to make me pay him 125 dollars a month? Can I pay with the card?

In Googling your question, I ran across this interesting site:

http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Crimes/Telemarketing/Inbound/MinorIn/MoneyProbs/card_offers.htm

You are asked to pay a $149.95 fee for the credit product, either by having your checking account debited or by charging it to a pre-existing credit card account. After providing the information, your checking account is debited via an unsigned bank draft.

Expecting your new credit card you finally receive a package of materials from DDQ that disclose, for the first time, severe limitations on your ability to use the credit products promised.

You do not receive a major credit card in the package. Instead, you receive a mail-order catalog together with a charge card, good only for ordering items from the catalog. You are informed that you will only receive an application for a major credit card if you first purchase $400 worth of merchandise from the catalog.

The $2,500 line of credit, calculated at extremely high rates of interest, applies only to the use of their "CashPlus" credit card (which is not a general credit card, but a "single-use credit card" which can only be used to purchase items from their catalogues); the cash advance is limited to only $10; and their CashPlus card can not be used in any ATM machines.

Any bets on if this is how his scam will work?

The level of stupidity that let you fall for it in the first place.

So has anyone contacted the police, or made any kind of official complaint, or whatever the process is about this? I think we're all in agreement that it's a blatant scam.

Until he actually begins accepting money and/or distributing fake cards, it's still protected speech.
