Yes, it's very easy for us highbrows to attack the low-hanging fruit that is Miley Cyrus, but I can tell you from having seen just about every episode of Hannah Montana with my kids (and as a singer myself), Miley can sing. You may not like what she sings (I usually don't) and she's got a bit more growing into her voice ahead of her, but she is already a talented, polished vocalist. She also dances no worse than other pop stars, has decent comedic timing, and handled her dramatic scenes in the Hannah Montana Movie fairly well. So long as she doesn't seriously implode (and I think she's savvy enough not to do that), we'll likely have many more years of Miley's celebrity reported in such trusted news sources as the Huff Po.
Given the overwhelmingly Christian leanings of her active fan base, this tweet of hers seems to have taken a lot of Moxie on her part. I concur with those who have posted that the skeptical community should congratulate her on this tweet, rather than just use any mention of her in the media as an excuse to complain about how talentless and vapid she is.
