I'm going to deal with this a little bit out of order.
Before anything else, why, exactly, do you think that "Catholic Apologetics International" is a particularly credible source? Frankly, this quote from that page, alone, shows that it's not remotely credible.
On to the rest, though.
Heterosexuality harms a whole lot of people, especially heterosexuals.
Three questions, to start. How many of those cases are by repeat offenders? What about all the rest of STDs? What about the percentages for lesbians, who most definitely count as homosexuals?
I'm going to have to simply ask that the study or studies that this may or may not have been taken from be cited. Sites like the one that you cited are notorious for taking bits of information that suits their purposes in isolation, spinning it further, and then stating it unequivocally. In short, I've seen far too many dishonest claims coming from blatantly biased sources to trust a site like that one about anything, without outside and reliable confirmation.

Robert Prey, do you feel as though you're "scoring a point" against your bizarre conceptualization of "the gays" by repeatedly posting long-debunked talking points from questionable websites? At one point, I was interested in participating in a discussion with you, Mr. Prey, but for that I blame my own idealism and naïvité; of all the slanderous deceit about gay people and the gay community that religious conservatives delight in spreading, the myth that gay people are more likely to molest children is by far the one I find most offensive. Not only is such a claim harmful to gay individuals (for whom, sadly, you have shown nothing but contempt), but it is harmful to children themselves. Mr. Prey, people can and do study child molestation, pedophilia, and other sexual assaults in an effort to help and protect children. The hypocrisy of outspoken anti-gay activists becomes especially transparent and obvious when they actively spread misinformation about child abuse; and all in an effort to single-mindedly promote bigotry and hatred against human beings who are romantically and sexually attracted to people of the same sex; human beings that are not so different than you, even; human beings living their lives, struggling with jobs and bills and relationships.
It's not even very hard to see why anti-gay conservatives latch on to and spread such pieces of misinformation. You already have this caricature view of gay people as promiscuous or slutty or perverted, as if they have no moral boundaries when it comes to sex or relationships. Such a view is incompatible with reality, and that is why it is slowly dying around you. It must be tantalizing to portray groups who you actively hate as such universally-reviled things as murderers or beastophiles or pedophiles and child molesters and get way with it so easily. I guess when you feel like you don't have to back up any of your claims with evidence or even an honest discussion, Robert Prey, you get to do things like that. As long as you feel like God is smiling upon your actions, you feel justified in holding any view you care to hold. How convenient it must be.
Remember, Mr. Prey, you are a human being with "intellect and [a] conscience." As such, you are able to embody virtues such as rationality, sensibility, compassion, understanding, and kindness while eschewing unhelpful affectations such as arrogance, rudeness, and deceitfulness. You needn't be content with googling for religious websites that will help you feel okay with being bigoted against other human beings. You are perfectly able to look at a variety of sources, educate yourself, and find your own position on a topic. More than that, you will be able to argue your position effectively and with more conviction.

It's not a matter of what I want or whether or not "gay marriage" is something that offends me. I AM NOT important in the issue.
The issue is that we have a Constitution. This Constitution is the law of the land. Citizens, all Citizens, are protected by that Constitution. The institution of marriage long pre-dates the Constitution and is (at least I hope) accepted by everyone here as a unalienable right. It is not the business of government to pick and choose who you or I get to spent our lives with. (And God knows that our government has been in the busniess for far too long picking and choosing winners and losers in situations where it has absolutely no authority to do so.)
If it is an unalienable right, and New York states that it is, then it is not the business of the government, State of Federal, to license. Denial or abridgement of unalienable rights is forbidden to both the Federal and State governments.
As such there is no reason to parse the application of the law of the land to minority groups, make special laws targeting one group specifically or make long moral or religious dissertations to justify either the pro or con positions in order to pass law one way or the other. It's none of government's business how we decide to peacefully assemble.
Here's all that I ask: Don't encroach on my rights, don't breach the peace and don't force me to pay for your mistakes as you enjoy the freedom to choose if it goes awray. But I ask that much of any person, gay, straight or otherwise.
A gay couple, if they honestly abide by my above request, in no way negatively affects my life or encroaches on my rights simply because they are a gay couple. I'm perfectly OK with that.
In other words, just as "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!" says, we don't really need the government in the business of deciding whom we marry by the issuance of licenses and all of the attendant (and oft times draconian) laws surrounding the institution. Get government out of the business. We can handle the details to make it work. We actually aren't the idiot children that the nanny state thinks that we are.
