TAM 2012 Las Vegas

I really want to attend with my very skeptic daughter. But our oldest son has been referred to open heart surgery at the Mayo Clinic. I wrote about the some of the issues here:

I am not a happy camper right now.

Read your blog and am wishing your son and the rest of your family all the best.

I hope you and you daughter can make it to TAM. Is your son into skepticism at all? Maybe he can come too. :)

I'm ordering 200 "First TAMmer" buttons again. The cost has gone up to $1.50/button, so if any non-first-time-attendees would like to contribute please PM me. Last year Wowbagger and Paul C. Anagnostopoulos each graciously contributed so the deserve a Thank You.

Do they get a Thank You button?

I'm happy to contribute again this year. I'll thrown in 1/n of the cost, where n is the number of people contributing. Or something like that.

I sent a PM saying I would chip in for badges, again. But, I did not get a response back.

I was going to donate at least the same amount as last year (if any of us can remember what that figure was). But, the 1/n cost solution could also work for me.

So we first-timers will get our own gold star official N00b Badges? :D

Btw, Maiden tickets are ordered. For Montreal. Québec City was not an option for many reasons. But, I'll still try to make it to TAM. Getting there in the afternoon of the 12th should not be so bad, yes?

That works, the only thing you miss by arriving then are the Thursday workshops, which are extra-cost items anyway. TAM typically kicks off in earnest with the opening reception on Thursday evening.
