I didn't see a thread for this anywhere so I'm posting this in a new one.
So Brewer walks up to the President and invites him to a meeting, to which the President says "after our last meeting, you lied about it in your book". So she immediately proves him right by running to the press and lying about the conversation. 3 out of the 4 people present say she misrepresented what happened.
Do I have the facts straight? I'm honestly perplexed why Teabaggers think this is some sort of coup for their side.
See, I never read anything about 3 out of 4 of those present saying she misrepresented what happened
But Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, who was standing just feet away from the president and the governor on Wednesday during their now-infamous encounter, told TPM that Obama seemed calm the whole time.
[...]
Stanton, a Democrat, is now the second elected Arizona official whose account of the incident contradicts the way Brewer has described it.
The other politician on hand to greet the president, Republican Mayor Scott Smith of Mesa, Ariz., told TPM on Thursday that the discussion between the president and governor was an “awkward moment” but little more than that.
Personally, I was just waiting for them to kiss![]()
Thanks, MM--now you made me imagine what the "Brewer flap" looks like! <shudder>

Maybe she is using the Coullter critter's marketting strategy to sell her book.Does anyone believe this isn't political BS on the part of Brewer?
“They are awful,” she said. “Knowing that my father died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany, that I lost him when I was 11 because of that…and then to have them call me Hitler’s daughter. It hurts. It’s ugliness beyond anything I’ve ever experienced.”
The problem, as many discovered after the quote went viral, was that it wasn’t true. Brewer’s father had in fact died of lung disease in California in 1955, a decade after WWII ended.
I think it perfectly captures the attitude of the shrieking little twit from Arizona.Though this whole story is ridiculous, that's a really bad political cartoon.
