Michael Gove - trying to remove half of all schools from being run by the state, having wet dreams about re creating the prep school environment of his and hus Tory chums' childhood for the benefit of a few at the expense of creating ever greater educational inequality.....

Andrew Lansely - slave to private health care multinationals champing at the bit to carve up the nhs.

Jeremy Hunt - anti BBC pro Murdoch lackey

Gideon - the most under qualified and over promoted chancellor ever? Call me Dave's chum who takes all his cues from the millionaire backers of the party.

David Willets - chap who wrote a book about how baby boomers betrayed a generation and then rams through obscene tuition fee rises

Teresa May - indulges in Daily Wail rhetoric on criminal immigrants

Cameron - Teflon coated PR man responsibe for the lot of them.....

Other contenders:

Eric Pickles

Liam "Foxy" Fox

Boris

Who's the biggest Tory oaf?

Discuss :)

[nitpick]I think you're doing morons a disservice: they need not be evil.[/nitpick]

You need a more knavish noun. Unfortunately, all the good ones I can think of would breach the MA.

Yeah my first few choices would have all have been censored....

Maybe we could have a side discussion on the most appropriate forum friendly description :)

It scares me to say but Boris is the most competent of all of those. He's actually not that stupid, he just acts and sounds it.

Theresa May frightens the hell out of me. She's about as good at concealing her bigotry as that odious waste of human flesh Richard Littlejohn, but actually has a brain. No heart at all, of course, because if I said she had a black heart she would probably get offended.

Gove is an ineffectual stain who has the job of overseeing our nation's education and yet seems to have had no worthwhile education himself.

Lansley is, in the words of a rather amusing rap song about him "greedy" and a "tosser". It sums him up rather well actually.

Liam fox is too amusing to be hated surely? The sheer idiocy of this man is just staggering.

Willets is a tit, but he's a Tory, so that's a given. He's not the worst by a long shot though.

Hunt is not describable within the MA.

Pickles is another ineffectual tit.

Cameron is doing better than I expected at hiding his contempt for non-Etonians, but he's a total washout as PM and has rather neatly screwed the UK in Europe, thereby totally killing any hope of economic recovery this side of the next non Conservative government.

Osbourne is just an imbecile. An imbecile who has control over the wealth of the nation.

Nadine Dorries springs to mind.

Luckily, unlike most of those in the OP, she doesn't have a Cabinet post. I dread to think of the damage she could do if she got any real power.

David Tredinnick is another candidate, though, again, he is on the looney fringe.

It often occured to me that the public schools can't be all that great when they churn out drivelling morons on an almost constant basis.

It does seem like the Tory Party is the last refuge for the public school moron who couldn't even get a job at daddy's investment bank.

It's hard to pick a front runner when all of them are so moronic, but Osborne probably just gets it, in my opinion. Partly because as Chancellor, he has more opportunities to mess* up the country.

*Mess is not my preferred four letter word here.

I have begrudging respect for Cameron as Prime Minister. His policies leave much to be desired, but I think if you take away that he has been a fairly strong leader. It may just be because he is in opposition to the two Eds and their invisible economic policy.

Here's a generalization for you: Tories are mature enough to accept that left wingers mean well, but that they are just to naïve to figure out how the world works and that left wing policies will be detrimental to social mobility, encourage permanent underclasses etc. Left wingers are not mature enough to reciprocate and tell themselves that Tory policies are all designed from narrow self interest because Tories are evil.

i.e.

Righty view of Lefty: "They are probably doing policy xyz out of good intentions but are naïve and it won't work"

Lefty view of Righty: "They must be doing policy xyz because they are evil and/or stupid"

Such a pity that the left cannot understand that good people, how would like to see everyone prosper, can honestly disagree with them.

Anyway - back to what Tory is the biggest moron: that would be Heseltine… still saying we should join the Euro

No- right wingers are usually a) apathetic to people outside of their own clique, or b) much more concerned with their own financial well-being than in issues of fairness, social mobility or general well-being of the country.

I constantly see right-wingers argue that nationalized health care is too expensive, even when it's cheaper and more effective than the privatized version they want to bring in (the difference is that they are planning to invest in the private companies, so that they can personally profit from them instead of paying taxes for them), or that education is a luxury that other people should have to pay for (it's not that they really want an ignorant population, they just want to save a few bucks on taxes- especially since they've already got their degrees). And I'm constantly reading right-wing screeds on how these lefties are lazy and just want all the rich folk's hard-earned cash handed to them on a silver platter instead of earning it the old-fashioned way.

Oh Giz, I don't think Tories are evil.

Self centred, self interested and stupid, but not evil.

I also find it hilarious that one of the Tories I still have the biggest respect for is...Heseltine.

Lord Forsyth. By a mile.

I actually have a soft spot for Boris despite his Liverpool gaffs

When I first heard he had been elected Mayor of London I wondered how long it would be until London was on fire and full of rats.

The longer he's been in charge th more I've grown to respect that actually, he's not that bad a mayor. I'm frankly amazed that he wasn't given any sort of power before this, because even though he sounds like a moron, he clearly isn't.

Gove et al on the other hand...
