100 million deaths due to capitalism in the 20th century.

BD, as fun as all this internet tough guy talk is, no one wants to send commandos or tanks* to your house.

What we have been trying to explain to you, and I suspect you are deliberately ignoring, is that your vision of an anarcho-communistic society is unsustainable. Unless you have an actual state with state organizations like police forces, armies and prison systems (courts optional under communism and totalitarian systems) It will not survive the very first person who decides he doesn't like it and wants to tear it down.

Have you ever heard of or played the game "Bigger and Better"? We did this at church once. We split into 5 teams of 5 to 7 people. Each team was issued a single paperclip. And sent out to trade the paper clip for something slightly better. We were to report back to the church after three hours to see what we had gotten. After each team returned we compared what we had gotten from starting from just a paper clip. Our haul included a filing cabinet, an 18 speed bicycle which needed new brake cables, a washing machine and the winning team came back with a functioning 27 inch color TV.

That's a real world test with real world results. And that's about the lifespan of your classless society. That's how long it would take for a cunning person or small group thereof, starting with just a bloody paperclip to become the new richest person in the country.

Imagine what they could do in three days, weeks or months?

*I actually would like to play with the tank, I would love to drive it out to Elk Island Park and hunt buffalo with it. But that has nothing to do with destroying your system of non-government.

Not only is anarchism unsustainable, almost more importantly, it is technically unachievable under any circumstances. Somalia's small government, and external system of religious warlords is not by any means an anarchistic system. Because systems of control are needed for sanitation, trade, rule of law, and the distribution of goods, it is impossible to not have governing structures in the form of strongmen, warlords, or governments. Thereby making not only the function, but the establishment of an anarchist system technically unachievable.

For a person who lives as a guest under the governing rules of a tribal Nation, which itself resides under the governing rules of a Canadian territory, and is protected by the National rules and armed forces of the Canadian government, BD is as far from being in an anarchist state as anyone else on this earth.

The quest to pair a technically impossible economic/political system (anarchism), and pair it with an authoritarian largely abandoned failed economic system (State run Communism), shows more of a desire for escapism rather than dealing with the difficult questions about how to realistically reform our economic and political systems.

It is human nature to ignore people who make doomsday predictions based on nothing.

PS: Even if the system does collapse, it doesn't follow that billions of people will die.

Good thing that I didn't make "predictions" and another good thing that I alluded to structural weaknesses which include "infinite growth" as one of the instigators of the issue. Growth is finite, failing to recognize that growth is finite, or saying that "finite doesn't exist", is wishful thinking. And in my opinion, that's what every human system has been designed to do in the modern era, conduct a fishing expedition of "wishful thinking".

In the long term, Capitalism is unsustainable because it creates an artificial demand for consumption which cannot be maintained indefinitely. There is a time frame for which things can be consumed and have to be naturally replenished by the Earth. Ignoring that the Earth is limited in its capacity to replenish certain goods leads to drastic over consumption and eventually the bubble which was formed in the system collapses. The same analogy can be applied across all of capitalism. It is a massive bubble of artificial demand for goods and services which in the long term cannot be sustained given the ferocity of modern human consumption.
Not only is this true, but history backs me up on this assertion. Nature will naturally "assists" societies to reduce their consumption and their ability to continually drain her of her resources. We call these periods in time, "dark ages", and they are some of the longest and most dreadful periods in human history.

Now on to destroying communism, Communism simply doesn't work because the ideal state it tries to achieve contradicts the needs of most societies. Most societies are extremely centralized and well ordered. Communism is ideally a rankless-orderless society. This is not at all impossible to achieve, but it forces individuals to revert back to a state prior to civilization. In other words, humans have to revert back to an existence before the creation of cities. It is in this simple agrarian existence that communism is possible. However, most people aren't willing to do this, nor is it practical. The major problem stems from the needs of modern civilization.

Modern societies must maintain roads, armies, factories, rules, laws, etc. This all requires "order" which is something that is thrown into the face of communism. Communism requires the opposite to actually work, "freedom". When systems become so organized, so planned, and so mechanical that they can no longer deviate from a plan, they begin to stagnate. And one of the largest problems with communism is the long term stagnation and lack of ideas caused by the imposition of order and the lack of freedom. Communism is doomed to collapse from stagnation and its inability to maintain all of its financial and social responsibilities. Furthermore, this is more likely to occur than an over consumption of resources which plagues capitalism in the long run.

Both systems have flaws which make them unattractive. Capitalism in the short term is a very safe option unlike communism. However, capitalism has the potential to put a society out of commission for hundreds if not thousands of years sometimes. There are 4 issues here: 1.) How do we grow and maintain progress as a society, 2.) While maintaining the stability and safety of our society, 3.) while also maintaining the health and fertility of the Earth around us, 4.) How do we prepare for the worst when nature decides to change her mind.

While capitalism certainly has tried to address all of these issues, it will never effectively address these issues due to its only incentive being individual wealth. Communism has attempted to address the second issue and has failed. Too much stability and safety leads to stagnation. And traditional economics addresses the third and fourth issue at hand. What resources can we actually use effectively without consuming them all at once, how can we survive if nature takes a turn? Traditional economics addresses these issues but is prone to permanent stagnation as a result.

We as humans need four things in our new economic system to not only thrive, but survive as a species.

1.) A system that promotes human ingenuity and progress

2.) Maintains the safety and stability of the populace

3.) Maintains the health and fertility of our world

4.) Plans for disaster and doesn’t base its existence off periods of thriving (expects nature to fail)

If a new socio-economic system took root which recognized all four of these objectives as pertinent, it could potentially avert the disaster humans have coming their way. If not, I’m sure that billions will die. If our financial system were to collapse billions will die from the lack food, clean water, and medical care. That is reason enough for billions of people to die, no Armageddon mythical type wars needed.

One has 1.3 Billion people, the other has 23 million people. That is a big difference.

Yet China, which you claim has a cultural inclination to starve itself, was able to lift millions out of poverty by ditching communism. Ideas matter.

Note that the article said Ohly. He was a catastrophical mistake.

Which one of their party leaders has not been a catastrophic mistake? Don't say Sjöstedt, as he is so far an untested card.

I'd have to ask you to source that, I can't find anything pertaining to that in their party program.

I admit it was a hyperbole. Still, last election they went on a platform about removing all American foreign military bases. If that was to happen, it could cause serious instability in certain parts of the world. Either they are ignorant, or they are so cynical that they don't care.

Not a bad question. Much of it was before my time. Schyman had some absurd ideas but was largely good, I believe.

Good thing that I didn't make "predictions"

Um...

Most humans will be dead by the latter half of this century.

What was that about not making predictions?

It is only a matter of time before this society has the same fate as other societies in the past if we do not make major reforms to the system.

Most societies evolve. Collapse involving the deaths of most members of large societies are fairly rare. It's only a matter of time until the human race goes extinct, I'm quite certain of that, but that doesn't mean it's likely to happen within the next century.

And no I don't expect people to take me seriously. I expect people to ignore me as they have. It's only human nature to shut out people who point out obvious weaknesses.

You may think you're playing Casandra, but you're really Chicken Little. The existence of weaknesses doesn't mean your predictions have any merit.

Communism needs freedom? In my opinion it's the opposite.

Anyone supporting communism at this point should be embarrassed.

Communism needs freedom, just not in the way that we would normally think about the use fo the term. It's not "freedom" as in the freedom of choice, freedom of movement, freedom of democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, or other freedoms that the common citizen would normally associate with the term.

For state run communist countries, the freedom that is required for the state to funciton is the freedom of the privaledged communist rulling class to oppress those underneath them. It is the freedom of an authoritarian government to restrict how people think, what they say, where they go, what they buy, what goods they will allow to be produced, who they will allow to eat, who they will force to starve, and who they decide to kill in communist purges.

The "freedom" of the authoritarian communist governments to opprese and kill the citizens of their country is essential to the function of their state.

Just googled Schyman and found that she proposed a tax on all men because they were sexist. And she got up on stage, pissed her pants then threw her underwear into the audience.
