Do atheists assist Islamic radicals?

Well, it is rather unlikely that the USSR invaded Afghanistan out of a desire to do good. That part I find hard to believe. I mean, considering the countries they've sold their weaponry to over the decades - not to mention their overall international behaviour between 1917 and 1991 - it probably was rather selfish reasons that led to that invasion.

If you have a brain.... it is not called BELIEVE it is called KNOW.


Facts are not something to be believed....they are FACTS and if you have any grey cells that actually function then you should KNOW facts.

If you do not know facts and someone points them out, you can RESEARCH and verify them.... and once you have verified the facts as such then you do not believe....you KNOW.

So if you have any INTEGRITY of character and you value REASON then you can verify these facts for yourself.

There are libraries where you can read newspapers from the time.

There is Google…. There are BOOKS….. There are ARCHIVES

There is youtube with old footage from news programs.

If you are older than 40 years and you do not know these things then you must have been sleeping. These things were NEWS and current affairs back in the 80s and 90s and they were in news papers on TV and books and all sorts of media.

I also gave you Wikipedia articles....but you can go and have a look at any other information outlet you want.

I don't expect you to believe anything.... I expect you to USE YOUR BRAIN and find out facts.

Now.... after you find out the facts if you still choose to not accept them.... then now you understand how THEISTS function.


Oh... there is another action you can take.... DENY and refuse to look at or verify anything that might sway you from your current position.... that is another solution..... to CD

Opinions are conjecture.... facts are facts.

The fact is the Russians were asked to come to the aid of the Afghani Communist government to fight Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorists hell bent on putting Afghanistan back into the dark ages or even the stone age (which they did)...... THAT IS FACT.

Why they did it is a matter of opinion.

But before we formulate opinions..... we need to establish facts.

Besides.... the Afghani communists were Atheists.... and as far as the OP is concerned....they were Atheists who struggled and fought a war against Muslim Fundamentalism.

Those very same Afghani atheists also constituted laws to REFORM the country and to quell the moslim retardation of it.

So the Russians and their intents are in fact immaterial to the OP's subject..... the point is that Atheists who were Afghanis fought and DIED to stop the power of Islam in their country and the intentions of the Russian Atheists they asked to help them is immaterial altogether to the SUBJECT of the OP.


The FACTS are Atheists in Afghanistan fought a war to the DEATH against Islamic and religious fundamentalism.

And that is what I am trying to point out….. ATHEISTS fought and died against Islamic fundamentalism…… do you agree?

Also.... fact..... Reagan armed and trained and aided and abetted the Moslim fundamentalist terrorists.

Was Reagan trying to do good? Did he have ulterior motives?


These are opinions and conjecture.....the fact is Reagan helped create the Moslim movement that we now call terrorists and armed and trained them. At the time they were being HAILED as NOBLE freedom fighters (Mujahedeen).

Mujahedeen is the plural of the word Mujahid and that is the person who carries out JIHAD.

Get it ....the Mujahedeen were being armed, trained, aided and abetted by the Reigan administration to carry out Jihad.

In the mean time .... while Reagan was helping out JIHAD .... Afghani Atheists aided by Russian atheists were fighting and dying to STOP JIHAD.

The issue is not whether the Russians had noble motives for invading Afghanistan - they didn't - but whether these atheists fought against Islamic fundamentalists or not - they did. At that time the USA, also not with noble motives, was supporting the Islamists.

Stuff like this happens. Saddam Hussein - a very bad man - was at one time favoured by the USA and the UK because he was fighting the Iranian Islamists. Later, he was absurdly declared to be in cahoots with the Islamists and got whacked by his former friends.

craigp, noone gave you permission to disagree with me. Also the Ruskies went into Afghanistan to stem Islamic militancy in the adjoininig soviet republics who historically fought the spread of bolshevism in the initial Soviet takeover.

Atheists in America are the worst kind of pinko scourge and are working with Al Qaeda in every way, and you have been clearly trolled and look rather silly.
