So could we stay on topic please? Feel free to start you own parody threads if you like, but I would like to discuss some federal politics, the polls and other more germane (to the op) issues.
 
WTF..........I got notification when I unsubscribed from this thread. But yes, AA Alfie is correct. Let's discuss the coming armageddon for this the worst government in the history of Australia lead by the worst ever PM in Australia's history.

Is this childish, blustering rhetoric supposed to distract us from your failure to address any of the many, many incorrect assertions that you've made and have had pointed out to you?

Precise facts and figures don't disguise the fact that this IS the worst government ever. And that Gillard is a lying typical politician who couldn't lay straight in a bed, and has made some decisions that could see this country come unstuck despite the mineral/mining boom.

Posting made up "facts" and figures that consist of nothing more than the first number you thought of don't disguise the fact that all you're doing is obsessively bleating about your personal issues with the current Prime Minister, or with politicians generally, or whatever it is that you're carrying on about.

Two blokes still having a giant dummy spit a year and a half after their team lost the election is already a parody thread and the silly little mantra that you both repeat in every other post is a clear sign to everyone that you're more interested in soapboxing than discussing anything.

To be perfectly honest I find Aussie history to border on the really f'n boring. Not that I haven't picked up on the occasional fact but I couldn't tell you a thing about, say, Deakin. At least nothing more interesting than I used to swim at the Deakin Pool in the ACT.

Even if you claim to be a pre-eminent expert in Oz history, your bias precludes me from giving your viewpoints too much weight . Gillard has been underwhelming to say the least, and certainly the worst that I have experienced (though I don't remember Fraser). But I'll leave the decisions re "worst" to more interested (and honest) people than I. And you or amb :p

See I always found Deakin rather grotty, but when you put it that way I got off easy. In 12 years I never got into Canberra's grey/brown nasty.

I guess it's more because history classes at school seemed to work on the principle that Australia sprung fully federated from the forehead of Parkes or something like that. So learning about stuff before then interests me.
