First, there was no reason to pull this guy over and investigate him...

Secondly, I don't think it's a cops duty to incite rage with a citizen who is trying to start a fight with him/her. The point where the cop tells the biker that he "better hurt him real bad" is totally unacceptable. The cop should have tried to calm down the biker guy. Cops get shot for this kind of thing.

Thirdly, and mostly, the female cop at the end says "he's lucky he didn't go to jail".

Hmmm?... Go to jail for what? Because the cops want to be thugs?

Judging from the cars, the clothes and the hairstyles, this is from 1980. What's the relevance?

Has to be pretty old because they let him drive off without a helmet. That's a no-no in California and has been for quite some time. Too lazy to look up when the helmet law went into effect.

Poor saps in California have a helmet law? Not here in PA!

A youtube video of some cops harassing a biker. Today they would have tazed him. Or sprayed him with pepper spray. Or something.

Or quite possibly used their military standard squad cars using the pit maneuver to knock him off his bike...

...for no reason!

Judging from the video, this guy was known to the police, and the officer appears to have believed his license was suspended, hence the reason for the stop. I wouldn't assume anything without knowing more back story on the people involved.

wait, you *need* reasons?

BTW - and what makes a squad car "military standard", as these are not in any order of battle that I know of.

I think that lady cop is probably retired or dead by now, given that the video is from 25 years ago.

The female cop was talking about a different incident.

So cops are allowed to harass people on assumption now, eh?

On their encyclopedic knowledge of TV/Movie stereotypes apparently...

No.. ACTUALLY... based on what equipment cops can use now to subdue perpetrators, what new laws are in effect that could label a criminal as more than just a criminal (ie. terrorist, ie. look up the Patriot act, ie. beefing up safety and security wherever you travel, ie. ETC). Understand?
