Joke? You need a dictionary, sense of humor and a re-reading of the MA.
Just go away. Your obsession is extremely tiresome.
sigh...
As is yours with me.

The Black Spur to Eildon is one of my all time favorite drives. Breathtaking.
If we get everything we bid for in our tender, we will have 12 extra offices in WA (and 29 extra overall, to take us to an even 100 offices). It will give me the opportunity to visit Albany, Bunbury, Esperance, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karattha, Broome, Kununurra, Christmas Island and a few others I can't recall. But the area I'm most looking forward to visiting is Thursday Island. Fingers crossed. We'll find out in March.
Well, if the first part of the joke hadn't relied on substituting an adjective with a random, similar-sounding but derogatory noun, and the second half hadn't just been a repeat of my earlier, much more subtle joke which substituted 'bogan' into the word 'bougainvillea', then it might have been a little more acceptable. As it is, you simply made a matched pair of dull, bad jokes that, apart from being offensive, did not fit with this thread, which for 2574 posts has been about Australia, being informative to those who are curious but non-resident. What you did was a great way to put people off - an example of the worst of Australian unculture. Not the worst example I'll grant you, but a bad one nontheless.
Furthermore, do NOT edit my quotes. Doing so is extremely bad form, rude, inconsiderate, and discourteous.
Actually the Albatross pub looks alright. I particularly liked the reference to the local crocodile.

I've been to that Pub. The restaurant wasn't too bad, but when one of my companions asked why they didn't have Mudcrab on the menu, given that the Pub was in amongst the mangroves and we could see the giant Mudcrabs scuttling around just outside, the Barmaid taking our order reached under the bar and produced a machete: "There ya' go. Help yourself... but watch out for the Crocs..."
He ordered Chicken Parma instead...
Oh Christ...
I've been to Albany, Esperance, and Geraldton. Each very lovely, Albany gets damn cold but I've had a hell of a lot of fun at that place over the last decade perhaps.
My post was directed at A. A. Alfie. Were you replying to the right person?Oh, whoops. Sorry.
Speaking of awesome pubs, anyone had a beer in this one ?

On the road between Karatha and Port Headland. One of the regulars was an alcoholic camel.
I only know the demographics of Weipa. Twice the average income of Australia as a whole, "no religion" beating the Mick's and Proddys, only 17% indigenous (low for FNQ), mining runs the town and no gays (okay I made the last one up). Probably very few skeptics, and I don't want to know the average alcohol consumption.

My quite pathetic claim to fame is that I can only think about 5 towns in WA I havent been to - Onslow, Wyndham, Tom Price, Pannawonica (sp?) and Telfer. I dont think I'm missing much from any of them, aside from perhaps the fishing in Onslow.
Anyway, I agree about the south coast - its really a very underrated part of the world. Augusta, Walpole and Esperance - all spectacular beaches and again, cracking fishing. The last time I was in Augusta I pulled in an enourmous KG whiting off the town beach. Where else in the world!![]()
I gotta say, one of the best parts about going on holidays is the drives you go through to get there. I find the countryside quite lovely to drive through with music in my ears.
I understand. What is curious to me is that I posted a st joke about our PM and was widely admonished. You make a joke about teenage pregnancy or (as I read it) paedophelia/carnal knowledge and it passes without comment.
No offense to you personally, but there seems a double standard here.
Agreed. Its why flying anywhere is so lame. Though it would make the trip out to Perth a bit more time consuming if I decidied to train it![]()
