Are there hidden messages in media or am I just being psychotic?

I suspect that I am in contact with aliens yes. I just got done watching Stephan Hawkings universe series and he said that there probably isn't any intelligent life out there since there are no radio transmissions of aliens anywhere. There is plenty of evidence of telepathic transmissions however, and yes, the transmissions probably exceed the speed of light.

And what form does this evidence take? How does one test for telepathic broadcasts?

Remember the quote that family guy said about not talking about the machine. I think that the people that hear these broadcasts may be persuaded not to discuss it. I could tell you what they say but I hate hearing that I sound psychotic.

MNBrant, there is media conditioning but I think what you are wondering about is something else and something deeper. Reality itself, the reality we live in I should say, is intertwined with and includes the spiritual world which itself contains spiritual entities, not just God and that can include both good and dark entities.

It can be hard for some to fathom how reality works in this regard and so not a good topic here, and some could perhaps be driven nutty if exposed to things without having the grounding to deal with it.

Suffice to say, sometimes what you are internally experiencing does relate specifically to the reality you are living in. Not just as some cute saying but a little more than that. If you are picking up on something, maybe a deeper search in a spiritual sense can help you make sense of it.

There's really no such thing as coincidence from a natural perspective (maybe a little overstated). Doesn't mean aliens are telepathically communicating or some other far-out concepts. Believe it or not, we have a spirit and soul and can be and are often subconsciously in communication with others. That's one reason for the phenomena of identical inventions and ideas even when no apparent exchange of info has taken place, or when a close relative somehow knows something has happened at the moment it does, such as a sense someone is in trouble or died.

Thanks for the advice. I do not read the bible at this time. I have a friend that is doing this constantly. We are kinda separating because of it. It is unlikely that the bible will keep you out of the hospital as it is full of people who read the bible.

I added a comment on coincidences. There really is no such thing as a mere coincidence. Of course, it's a coincidence but everything has a meaning and purpose. Sometimes it can be too much to assess and grasp that meaning and we all need to be grounded but it's there, and just like we can strain too much, we can be dull and not do enough.

Be healthy. Enjoy the good of life, not the dark aspects, but there's a lot more to learn.

Posting here can cause me to hear voices. I no longer say what the voices are telling me because what they say affects the whole world, and the message given is one of terror. It does no good to say what I hear because it does sound psychotic.

So you have no evidence of telepathic broadcasts. Just people having a subjective experience they attribute to a telepathic broadcast.

Your statement was incorrect then. There is not plenty of evidence, there are plenty of claims. Entirely different kettle of fish.

You know I watched the last episode of Lexx and heard a good one. The woman in the episode spoke of having spent her entire life in a box surrounded by holograpic images of people. Kind of makes me wonder if thats what we are doing here.

I got into the whole "ask the universe" type woo thinking as a teenager.

You can blame Richard Bach for that. it was before The Secret.

I didn't wholly believe it, but was experimenting with the idea that if I asked a question, "the universe" could somehow answer.
Then you get the whole effect of seeing exactly that layer of reality that has those element you're looking for? Like when you're considering buying a Volkswagen, and suddenly you see the damn things everywhere?

Suddenly song lyrics would contain sentences that had great meaning regarding the problems I was struggling with at the time.
I ran across a horoscope in the paper that seemed so specific for my situation that it literally scary.

The mind works like that.

You are looking for clues to hidden messages, and you're finding them.

If you are unable to shake this, or see it as an amusing mental phenomenon, maybe you should see someone about it.

your doctor is a good place to start.

If you can't reach him/her, maybe there is some kind of mental health hotline you can call.

I'm not American, so I have no idea how things are organised over there.

I think you better address this problem sooner than later.

Coincidences are exactly that.
Unscheduled random occurrences.
There is no meaning nor purpose to existence.
We can add a meaning and/or a purpose, but overally, it's just a crap shoot as to what anyone experiences in their life.
I presume it's comforting to believe there is someone monitoring your life, but if there is, for most people that someone is a monster, looking at the misery humanity suffers on the whole.
-Your- monitor is superior to those less fortunate of course.
You aren't like all those others with their disabilities and failures.
Isn't that special?
