Lindsay Lohan: Wanted Fugitive

Nah. Amy Winehouse was talented.
I have only seen a little of Lohan's work but I was impressed with what I saw. The skill level of acting that we are exposed to in mainstream media is at such a universally high level that is hard to see how individuals can ever be good enough to stand out. Lohan impressed me as one who did.

Alas, I am weak, and I do find humor in the downfall of people that life has dealt the good cards to. And this does seem sort of funny to me, kind of like watching the professional hockey players destroy themselves with a really stupid and counterproductive strike. Still, the reality here is that this isn't all that funny to the participants and Lohan's self destruction may well be signs of something very seriously wrong that is going to destroy her and I would like to think I won't be laughing when that happens.

forty minutes late and they dismiss her for the day? They must not really need her there.

She needed to be on time to attend an orientation. If their policy was to repeat the orientation for each probationer that was late, I suspect that someone would have to be assigned to spend the whole day doing orientations.

They don't NEED her. They are actually doing her the favor by allowing her to work off her probation, the least she can do is figure out how to be there on time. She didn't know that paparazzi would be there and might cause a delay? If she was taking this seriously she or her 'people' would have contacted the place to find out where she needed to go and where the entrance is. One would think with a pissed-off judge that she would be putting some extra effort into not screwing up. But apparently not.

This is what anyone in her position needs: expectations and consequences. You're expected to show up on time. When you don't, there are consequences. You could end up consequencing yourself into a jail cell. Show up on time. ;)

She does better with dead people than homeless women apparently.

When the judge called The Good Shepherds Center for Homeless Women, the charity refused to take Lohan on as a worker "saying you were a bad example," Sautner said.
But Lohan seemed to find a good fit with her work at the Los Angeles County morgue, where Deputy Chief Coroner Ed Winter said she worked four days in the past two weeks cleaning up.
"So, the morgue is willing to keep you," the judge said.

Just hope she gets herself sorted out. Look at what happened to Mickey Rourke and Robert Downey, Jr. Positively positive role-models now.

Hell, even Charlie Sheen seems to be stringing words together and forming sentences these days.

I don't think she's hit bottom yet. Getting out after 5 hours is not going to make any impression on her.
