"Remember Building 7" - "Largest 9/11 Campaign Ever"

Come now, I think it's been well-established that the Truthers really don't mind paying Richard Gage and his ilk a good salary for doing pretty much nothing.

Let's not be churlish and suggest on their behalf that they're being fleeced.

It would be most obvious, that Gage would get all the money from this campaign as well. After all, he was supposed to get 5% anyway, and all the donations were funneled through ae911truth's donation channel. Only thing separating this campaign money from other donations they receive is a tiny check-box for this specific campaign, or in the case of check/money orders a mention of "Remember Building 7" in the notes section.

A week later, and nothing.

Latest update on Twitter was on September 13th.

Latest update on the campaign's Facebook site was on September 22nd and had nothing to do with this campaign.

AE911Truth website has two new updates. One about Richard Gage appearing on Al Jazeera. And one about 10th anniversary events.

Now, one would imagine that when they finally release a lengthy update about 10th anniversary happenings, they would include at least a paragraph discussing the "Largest 9/11 campaign ever" which they themselves have sponsored and advertised intensely. But NOTHING. Not a single sentence.

They cite Gandhi twice and repeat the usual crap about how they are soooo close to breakthrough, if people would just join them and spread their word.

This may be one of the biggest failures in TM history. And now it more and more seems like they try to get away with it and run with the money.

Cheers, ref.

Yep, zero, zip, nada, nothing.

Truthers are even too afraid to be asking how much has been raised themselves. Noone wants to know they're up **** creek without a paddle in a canoe with a leak in it.

Progress, they have updated their site!

http://rememberbuilding7.org/10/

Thus far they have received $71,665 from 1,307 donations. That is 7% of their goal of 1 million dollars.

That is an average donation of $55 per person (quite a lot actually).

They have a progress bar which states their goals of 1 million dollars, and another goal of 20,000 donations. They have done their math since 1,000,000 / 20,000 = $50 per donation. It is yet another impossible goal. After all the spamming and advertising and 10 year anniversary hype they only got $70,000 in one month. Now they expect to get $930,000 more which means 18,693 more donations of $50? Give me a break. Can their target audience be that stupid?

One thing they have done, they have removed all the time constraints. There is no more a fixed duration for the campaign, and no target date to get to 1 million. So this is going to be one everlasting campaign, which will never reach its supposed goals.

Oh and one more thing. They now have a pie chart of how the 1 million will be used.

90% goes to advertising costs = the supposed purpose of this campaign.
5% = $50,000 goes to ae911truth for reasons unknown
3% = $30,000 goes to Toronto hearings for reasons unknown
2% = $20,000 goes to promotion and website

So another 5% = $50,000 will be used to do something completely different than was originally told. Remember we were already told in small print, that ae911truth would get their share of 5%, but before there was no mention of other uses for the money.

Now, I'm just asking questions, but if ae911truth is the "sponsor" of this campaign and they already get their 5% and the donations are funneled through their existing channels, why does the campaign still need another 2% to cover for the promotion and website? That's a helluva bad sponsor they got.

That 5% to A&E is a kickback for them pushing their campaign on the A&E website and possibly having Gage mentioning it during his "Tours". Of course the only person who gets any money from A&E is Gage himself so it's really just a kickback to Gage laundered through his sham organization.

Must be a nice little gig if you can get it.

Wow, ref!

So predictable!

Plus, there has been no email to their subscribers to tell of the extension of the campaign. Unless they've deleted me from their list. ;)

They really are just making this up as they go along.

Yep. I also asked them why a small NPO is having a hard time filing their Form 990 for FY 2010, when other, multi-billion dollar NPO's like American Red Cross and The Lukemia and Lymphoma Society had theirs done in plenty of time, with no extensions.

ANd the answer came......none.

They have untill November 15th to file their Form 990 with the IRS.

I just re-read the original newsletter that Orphia posted, and I must say I had forgotten they had already mentioned that they will use some of the money to fund Toronto hearings, as well as production of Gage's film. But before they had not mentioned any shares these would get.

In related news, ae911truth continues to amuse on facebook.

RememberBuilding7.org needs about 18,500 more donations to reach their goal which will enable the largest 9/11 campaign ever. We are 72,000+ here. We can wrap this up overnight. Please go to http://rememberbuilding7.org/10/ and make a donation now.
They can wrap this up overnight!!! :jaw-dropp

You were supposed to collect 1 million between September 5th and 11th, you only got 7% in one month, but NOW in October you can wrap this up overnight! :D

And besides, they give the false impression that they are 72,000+ in number of donations, when they actually are 1300+ in number of donations and the 72,000+ is where they are in dollars. It wouldn't sound too good, if they said "we need 18,500 more, we are 1,300+ here"!

I don't even know why I keep following their sad effort. Everybody knew how this was going to fail. Maybe it's just amusing how they repeat the same mistakes year after year, and can't even come up with a simple plan with a realistic goal. It's like watching total amateurs without a clue. But wait... duh

I've long sinced stopped underestimating the ability of truthers to be blindingly stupid. Action oriented on the other hand - that is beyond their capabilities.

Still no update on their progress bar.

http://rememberbuilding7.org/10/

I notice that 31,165 "like" the page, but only 1,307 people have donated.

:dl:

They sure don't seem to be paying much attention to updating that one. One week later, and no updates. They are afraid to show the dismal progress and choose to show nothing at all. I would predict that at most they might hit 100k but that's about it really. Then they have to find other uses for the money, and I think Gage has no problems finding other uses.

Even some of their supporters are beginning to show signs of frustration on FB comments.

Man, I totally agree with AE911, but lately I am sort of getting turned off. For the past month they sure are begging a lot. I know it costs money to keep the issue alive but. Maybe just the mood I am in. Sorry folks.

Last time they were way below their goal, but they still used it for publicity, just a great deal less publicity. They'll probably do the same thing again.

:newlol

How much money does it take to submit a petition to Congress, anyway?

A whopping $0.00

I'll cover the cost for them.

See? This is the fair-spirited mindset of the JREF Debunking Team. But I can't let you go all-in by yourself, Tri. I'm going to fade half of that for you, okay. I posted to your PayPal account ten minutes ago. Please confirm if you've received $000.00.

I did in fact receive such credit to my account. Greatly appreciated.
