What a fantastic result for those two. Well done, I'm happy they have at last been found not guilty, just in the way O J Simpson was found not guilty. Well done justice :) Nice to see these happy outcomes occasionally

Of course, even if that happened, Knox will be long since back in Seattle, and I don't see any court in the U.S. enforcing an extradition order under those circumstances. And I would personally expect Knox to appeal the slander charge, on the grounds that her interrogation statement was introduced (via civil suit) even though the Supreme Court had ruled that it couldn't be used. Sure, she's already served the jail time, but I see no reason why she shouldn't fight having to pay damages to Lumumba...let alone the legal fees of the worm who called her a "dirty-souled she-devil" and "spell-casting witch."

For that matter, I wonder if her lawyers might now be considering some calumnia charges of their own...

Our Italian lawyers ( :D ) tell us that Mignini is talking out of his lying posterior in regard to the DNA report. There has been absolutely no breach in law or procedure regarding the commissioning of the independent report, or the timing of its commissioning. The defence teams have not only been demanding such a review since before the Massei trial, but there has also been willful obstruction from Stefanoni and the prosecutors to even provide the source data that would enable defence experts to conduct their own proper analysis of the evidence.

As far as I read things, there are zero visible grounds for any prosecution appeal to the Supreme Court. None whatsoever. It would actually, I suppose, be quite amusing to see Mignini try to appeal on the grounds related to the DNA report: I suspect that he might have to add "vexatious appeal" to his growing list of professional wrongdoings. I don't regaard myself as a vindictive person, but in his case I think he has caused so much active harm and hurt that I will be glad to see him get his comeuppance. I am glad that his career in the law will almost certainly be over within the year.

It's a reflection of the whole case and all the rubbish that has been written right from the beginning - and the shockingly poor journalism.

I hope the Daily Mail wrong story goes viral - Facebook, Twitter anyone?

I keep reading over and over again that Meredith has been forgotten - however, the only person that really seems to have been forgotten is Rudy Guede. I can't believe people are now asking 'well if it wasn't AK, RS who was it?'

That was a great photo of Amanda. Told the whole story. I'd have done the same. Don't know how Raffaele walked out without bawling...

I suspect Amanda won't go back to Italy until the appeal to the Supreme Court has ended.

She will appear on a lot of talk shows.

It's been a pleasure talking to you guys. I wonder how those five sites that tossed me for saying the same things discussed in the Appeals trial are thinking. Ok, maybe I don't. They chose to be ignorant and probably still are.
 
The Daily Mail is basically a tabloid, right? I mean, they're no News of the World or anything? Just wondering, as an American, where they stand as a legitimate news source.
 
I was watching it live on Sky news and I though it had gone against them at first,then I though Amanda was convicted and Raffaele acquitted

Anyway a young girl has being released from four years in prison she is with her family in an undisclosed location I am trying to imagine the emotions they are going true

A young man has by now being greeted by his friends and family he is now experiencing a night he will never forget

I have believed for two years they are 100% innocent I am overjoyed by the courts decision

Eek. The newspaper review on Sky News is showing a side headline in tomorrow's Times which alludes to the Kercher family "not being ready to forgive". I hope that this is either an invention or a misinterpretation. If that's based on something that anyone from the Kercher family has said after the verdicts, then I'm saddened and dismayed, and my view on the Kerchers will be changing.
 
Forgive what? Four years of fighting to get innocent kids out of prison. I am not wondering if the Kerchers are ready to forgive.
