I'm sure you abhorred the emotive Prosecution BS then?

No, surely epithets like "double-souled witch," "Luciferina," "seductress," and the like are epitomes of rationality to certain warped perspectives. Wittgensteinian music to certain ears, in fact.

BLNadeau Barbie Latza Nadeau Verdict at 9:30pm Perugia time in #amandaknox case. 1 1/2 hours from now.:mad:

Sky News here in UK has also just said that the verdict is due at 8.30pm UK time (i.e. 21.30 Italy time). Whether Sky is just quoting Chance (or his source), or whether there is some sort of official indication from Hellmann's court, is hard to determine at the moment. But it seems we are at least provisionally looking at a verdict in around 90 minutes from now....

And that means I can watch the cerebral double-header of University Challenge and Only Connect before the verdict :)

ETA: Errrr no it doesn't. But that's what Sky+ and iPlayer are for, innit?

thanks. I wasnt having any luck, this one seems to be up and ready to play on my pc anyway? some of the others needed "keys"?

Wonder why the possible delay?
Especially curious why the delay, in a system that doesnt require unanimous votes.

There was a suggestion earlier that the process needed to look a thorough overview of the evidence, if only for the sake of perception in the event of an appeal.

Of course, it could be that the Judges are putting the lay members through a particular process of review irrespective of their stance immediately post-trial.

Sincere thanks!
Does anyone know which would be the best stream to have English translations at the same time? I assume it would be the first one?

Same thing from CNN, it sounded like a firm time the way they put it, but offered no source that I recall.

They had Douglas Preston on Foxnews not long ago, and he brought up something that sounds ominous. People apparently believe that Mignini might well file 'jiggered' charges against Amanda and Raffaele if they stay in Italy. In other words, more or less the same charges, for the same murder, but done in accordance with Italian law which doesn't have double-jeopardy protection yet. Apparently he used the same trick on people in the Monster of Florence 'investigation,' the charges would be dismissed, he'd just file them again elsewhere, the 'master of the game.' It serves to harass and keep under his power the ones who displease him...

Word in pressroom is that #amandaknox has left the prison en route to Perugia for the verdict. Can anyone at prison confirm?

intimidate, fear, bullying....abuse of power? sounds familiar for Migninni.

Ugghhhh. Fortunately, though, Mignini will be in no position to be bringing charges against anyone within a few months, once his appeal trial and the Supreme Court confirm his criminal conviction for abuse of office (which will earn him the sack and a permanent disbarment from public office). But until then, it sounds like it would be a good idea for not only Knox but also Sollecito to get out of Italy ASAP.

There's be a backlash if he pulled something like that. He may have gotten away with similar stunts like that before but this is not a low profile case. The world is watching this one.

They showed the prison van leaving prison on the coverage I'm watching. Looks like a 9:30 verdict, local time.

Interesting. If I made a post like that, many of you guys would be all over me.

Why is that? Its not interesting at all. Guilters departure from logic has been far from interesting. EX policemen defending this case of the prosecution is interesting. Totally removes any faith I ever had in the police. I expect the police to be buffoons now...even down under.

Finally, at 3:31 EST after the verdict is read you guys could stop talking about this case.
