Thanks for your reply. It really will be a glorious day when reality on the ground confirms the cult status of hate groups like PMF and TJMK.

I'm simply asking what you intend to do. A similar question was posed to Platonov. You won't be convinced, what next? I didn't see howls of derision when Platonov was asked.

I'm willing to accept that the court's decision is sound.

Actually, I kind of glommed on to a question you asked someone else, but since you asked, it would be polite of me to answer. I personally would do the same as I am doing now -- follow the situation, comment on it if there are interesting things to comment about. The facts that I have seen have not come close to convincing me they are guilty, and a court coming to a different conclusion than me would not change my mind, unless they used some new evidence that I had not heard about to come to that conclusion. I would read the motivation report, and decide what I think of thier decision. Although at this point, I will not agree if they find her guilty, I would want to read about why.

There is a question going around here about what people will do if a verdict comes down that they do not agree with. I think that is most interesting if asked to people at PMF and TJMK. I don't expect them to accept a verdict that they don't agree with just because a court said so, but if they are legally released, what will each do?

The reason I bring this up is that I find it much more unusual to campaign for someone's incarceration that has been found "not guilty" vs. campaigning for the release of someone that you think is wrongly convicted.

Also, there is not much that can legally be done about it, while, if someone is in jail, their family can always try to petition the court, etc. to re-review the case (not sure if that is doable in Italy). If I were Knox or Sollecito's parent, I would not stop until I was physically unable to try to get them out.
 
I am not sure why PMF is trying to convince everyone that they are stalkers. They are talking about the cars people drive, the places they work, where they park their cars, businesses surrounding their places of employment such as theaters and ice cream shops. They talk about driving by houses talking pictures. They talk about schools people attend.

I wonder if Randy Jackson's (FlyByNight) employer would approve of him trying to convince people that he is a stalker. I don't play their games so I will never know the answer to that.

For anyone with two brain cells to rub together, it has always been evident that both PMF and TJMK represent a nexus for aberrant and hateful personalities to spill their bile. In the vile and malignant Mignini, Michael, Ganong and Quennell found their perverse exemplar. In these last three, the various followers on the sites found their Jim Jones.

Like all individuals who tend toward cult behavior, these people would have eventually found some irrational cause to rally around. Like so many demented moths to a flame.

At the end of the day, Bruce, know that you have committed a heroic act in the face of such vicious, pitiable individuals, and good people will not forget this.
 
I'm not surprised. She is emotionally invested in this case, losing all credibility and objectivity as a journalist. It's fine when you write a book, but then do NOT pretend to be an unbiased journalist giving fair reports of the case. After "Angel Face", and continued bashing of Amanda and her family, what does she expect?

I haven't seen it reported, but has the stomach content time of death arguments, so often touted on this thread as absolute proof of innocence, been featured in the appeal?

The defense believes that it helps establish a time of death between 9:30 and 10:00. This TOD would give Sollecito a semi-alibi because there evidence of activity on his computer at 9:26. It's not a rock solid alibi, but it does make his involvement in a murder orgy just a few minutes later even more unlikely.

Mentioned, but not featured? If Kevin Lowe is right and the science of determining time of death by stomach content meant that AK and RS couldn't possibly have been the culprits, I would have thought there would be quite a song and dance.

Perhaps the science isn't as rigorous as some have argued. Or is it being held back for the final appeal?

I guess that depends on your definition of featured.

from PMF:


Maori says .... time of death. Stomach. Meredith started to eat at 7/730. Not true. She started at 6pm. Robin sais that. in autopsy stomach was found full. Digestion not started. So death 2030-2130. Why experts of GIP did not say that? Easy, they did not know time of last meal.

We have witness statement of a person who was there. Chat of Rudy .... Maori runs the tape of Rudy who says 2120-2130. Time of death is that one.

At 2115 PC of Sollecito was functioning so they could not be there.

It's painful to watch Barbie so transparently hedging her bets. She's from that unthinking school of journalism that believes objectivity means printing baseless innuendo that inflames both sides of a debate. In the event of an acquittal she'll be a complete nonentity, but no matter what Monday's outcome she hasn't won any followers by playing both ends against the middle.

It amazes me Barbie kind of figured this out, all on her own. It doesnt sound like she's fully grasped it yet....but its starting to sink in.
