I've actually seen many conservative websites/blogs in which they seriously compare taxation to rape and think paying taxes is as bad as being raped.
I can remember one conservative website once where they were discussing an article by a liberal blogger talking about the high rates of sexual assault in the military.
The overwhelming response of posters was essentially "Well I get raped every time I pay taxes, and liberals don't care, so I don't see why I should care about this."
You're right Ziggurat. If I ever start my own business, I'm sure that the experience of paying the taxes on it will be exactly the same as when I was sexually assaulted in college.
Do you know of any "tax payer support groups" I can join to help me deal with mental anxiety of such an event?
And by the way, Zig, your post is ridiculous in addition to incredibly offensive. I DO get great advantages as a woman by living in a country in the United States, in terms of the education I received, safety I am provided compared to many other nations, and yes, even the roads and public transportation I use to get to the gym.
Which is why
I am perfectly fine with paying taxes, because the society I live in is a huge reason for why I am successful. I pay taxes because in exchage I get a good quality of life that allows me to do things like, for example, stay in shape to remain attractive.
Your post is in no way even a remotely relevent mockery of Warren, because Warren was arguing only that such a business should pay taxes because the country they live in has helped them achieve their success. She's not arguing that they have to share that business involuntarily with people. That you should be required to hire people the government says you have to hire, or make people partners in your business who you do not want to be partners, or that you should be required to give away your business products for free. So the idea that a tax paying attractive woman being raped by the government
in addition to her paying taxes already is the equivilent of a businessman paying taxes is just...it makes no sense. Not even as a joke.
