"Wet Goddess" Can bestiality Ever Be OK?

I'm smiling remembering a woman I knew who would have loved to have made love to a dolphin.

Yep, me too. My gut reaction is one of disgust and that any sex between human and non-human is wrong.

But, it bears thinking about. What about robots? What about robots that pass the Turing test? What if some dolphins were brought here by aliens and those dolphins could talk and were randy? Hell, what about the aliens?

For me, I've always said it comes down to consent and animals cannot give consent just as children cannot. But, then you have to be able to define consent and how you'd know it.

And my wife says all I think about is sex. Hah!
The girl and the robot.

Isn't there some kind of Brazilian myth/legend about a woman and a dolphin?

There's an Amazonian folk-belief about boto (river dolphins) having it off with humans. Usually it's a male dolphin who takes on human form and seduces girls at village festivals. The girls only find out when the guy's fancy leather shoes transform back into flounders, his belt turns back into an eel, and he jumps back in the river (presumably clicking gleefully).

Anthropologist Candace Slater's book Dance of the Dolphins is a fascinating study of Amazonian dolphin lore. She remains undecided as to whether all the stories of hot dolphin sex have any basis in reality though.

To kind of get back on topic. I could cite many instances in SciFi where interspecies romance is acceptable. The thing they all have in common is recognized sentience of the other species, whether it be Spock's interspecies parenting or Han's and Chewie's bromance.

The most germane to the premise in the OP that I can think of, Human-Dolphin coupling, would be David Brin's Uplift series, in which Dolphins were uplifted to sentience. While I don't recall the relationship actually getting physical, there was a subplot in one of the novels involving a male dolphin attempting to seduce a female human.

Can bestiality Ever Be OK?

As long as you don't get caught.

I was alright, until some pig squealed on me.

The Bangaladeshi guy when told the other guys use the camel for sex, didn't wait for them to tell him they rode it into town to visit the bordello.

I heard that sexual activity with a sea mammal stimulates the production of healthy endolphins.

When the question, "is it/can it be okay" is asked, my first thought often is, "okay" in what sense, and for whom? If I can justify my actions, I can make just about anything be "okay" for myself.

But if I'm asking about society at large, it becomes a lot more complicated.

This is such a huge taboo, that I don't see it being something society at large would ever consider permissible and moral. Individuals, sure. Small segments, sure.

But we've been present on the planet for a very long time, and it's still a taboo.

So I'd say it is unlikely ever to be "okay" in that sense. Then again, other things which were taboo for a long time became "okay," or are becoming more okay, more acceptable. I know it's not okay for me, and never will be.

Meh. Whatever flips your dolphin, I guess. ;)

I think their may be a larger public health issue. Right now we get these flu strains starting with poultry and pigs. E-bola and other exotic African killer diseases started with some bloood transfer between differing primates. I don't want to know what nightmare diseases lurk out there if we start blowing fish and humping camels on a wider basis.

I remember when I was but a young lad. I was in Florida and the riptide was carrying me toward certain death and the Bermuda triangle with its insistent current. I was doomed! In a blink of an eye, a dolphin known nationally as flipper the TV star, rescued me. I was very thankful but flipper said he required payment for his good deed. SEX was on his mind. What could I do? He saved my life!

Okay, how about Ariel, the mermaid. I'd hit that like a retard on drums.

If I could work out where a mermaid's nether orifices might be I'd jump on one too. Never been able to work it out though.
