But I don't understand what your opinion is.

i did not approve of the libyan nato actions. it involved canadian troops. i am a canadian.

After I asked you who should enforce U.N. resolution 1973 (which calls for the enforcement of a no-fly zone) you suggested U.N. troops, and implied that it was an obvious answer. Well, the U.N. mandated that no troops would be put on the ground, thus that means the enforcement would come from air forces. Since the U.N. does not have an air force, they authorized NATO to carry that out.

So, what exactly is your problem? Do you just not like NATO, or is it the U.N. you have an issue with?

It's difficult to attempt to reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

It's not that difficult, really, it's a violation of the prime directive.

It's a basic anti-imperialism stance. The Libyan people may want a revolution and Gaddafi may knock it back with a few WMD's poof, no more revolution. That would be "none of our business"

Just why the theory of non-intervention only applies to military actions and business transactions and not sending foreign aid is what I can't wrap my head around.
