Oh great. He has found a whole new seam of No Clue to explore. Has anyone kept a log of Patrick's Dumbest Statements...

And to think, they left out 'I' so people wouldn't get confused.

Given how many posters have demonstrated that sort of expertise in aerospace and astronomy it's a serious demonstration of Patrick's ineptitude that he apparently didn't think anyone would notice his misdirection.

Further evidence he is just making random stuff up for his own bizarre amusement or cannot actually imagine anyone else not sharing his sub-100 IQ.

This is priceless. It's the way you keep solemnly waving your hands that makes it so funny. Would you care to explain how he'd "do something sophisticated" with astronomical coordinate system references which are only updated every few decades?

I can just imagine it:
"Ah, yes, if we take, in particular, this reading of the right ascension and declination of Rigel and compare it to what it would have been if we'd been using B1925.0 coordinates instead of B1950.0, then we can clearly see that the infinitessimal difference puts us (takes pipe from mouth and taps moon map with stem) ...here." :D

That would work brilliantly if he was wearing a white lab coat, and had a monocle, and an enormous handlebar moustache.

oh yeah, that's better, and corduroy trousers, like the Open University broadcasts in the 70s and 80s.
(With apologies to people who arent UK residents of a certain age.)

I spent many late night watching the OU on the Beeb from across the Irish sea.

In that far away time when there was literally nothing else on British TV after midnight it was the only place an insomniac could go, and you learned stuff into the bargain.

You were lucky, ours went to a test card after 11pm.

ETA: This is now at serious risk of descending into a famous Python sketch.

Really? I thought he was here for our amusement.

I wonder if Patrick has gone quiet because he's had to be rushed to hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the feet? ;)

Patrick, it has become blatantly clear that you are not competent in any of the fields that you comment on. Please stop.

Trust me that small problem hasn't stopped him across multiple boards under multiple identities, permanent banning seems to be the only way to shut him up, and then he'll reappear with sockpuppets.

Oh, what the hey. Let's start a list.

Things that Patrick1000 knows.

1. P1K does not understand the difference between Cartesian geometry, Equitorial geometry, and calendars.

2. P1K thinks Columbia maintained a weird Lunar-stationary orbit at 17 degrees from the visible position of the Earth.

3. P1K has a scatological fixation.

4. P1K belives every bodily emission is in some way toxic. (my kids would not be pleased to learn this of their origins)

5. P1K Refuses to acknowledge any counters to his spurious arguments.

6. P1K believes he is unopposed in this thread.

7. P1K believes that any "true" doctor would block the Apollo missions.

8. P1K believes that stars should be readily visible despite the continuous sunlight present during the Apollo missions.

Feel free to add.

In another guise he also insisted he could see nothing in the LRO pictures.
