You can assume that if you wish. I tend to see Gage's failure to submit his petition to Congress as he stated years ago was his intention, and his failure to even attempt to organize any effort by the member architects and engineers to apply their architecture and engineering expertise to quantitatively proving Gage's demolition claims, as evidence that Gage does not believe in his cause at all.

But of course, though that's evidence it's not proof. Maybe he believes like crazy but just can't find good enough evidence to convince any actual architecture or engineering organizations, firms, or faculties, and has for some reason decided that continuing to collect names on an Internet petition, make YouTube videos, and give lectures at tourist destinations around the world will somehow remedy that in the future.

I don't really disagree with your criticism but falling over him for his salary has always a touch of irony in this forum. 75K is nothing a remotely competent architect can't achieve with his normal work, you don't have to found a cult organization for that.

If i were richard gage and i want to make money, it would be most stupid thing i have ever done, to place so soon a dvd for free. While putting a lot of years of work, to get all those people to interview.

I really would make money out it, i would at least wait a month, so people can buy the dvd.

In todays economy even competent sane Architects are have huge problems.

We're just reminding truthers that Gage is a fulltime paid shill, something they abhor when it applies to the 'other' (ie reality) side.

But seriously, since most of us consider Gage to be a con artist, we fully understand that there is a direct relationship between the success of his swindle and the amount of money donated to provide his salary.

That criticism would be valid of large numbers of us "debunkers" went out of our way to deny that Randi, or anyone else, was making a salary off their skeptic work. However, we don't do that, but you do see lots of truthers saying things like:

Which, in light of the posts just above his, that link to Gage's own financial statements, is quite blatantly nothing more than sticking his head in the sand so he doesn't have to admit the possibility that Dickie Gage might be in this for the money.

Seriously, just own it: people make money off promoting 9/11 truth, and countless other CTs. You could make the argument that such people are doing it for good and noble purposes, but the unwillingness to even admit this simple fact seems to suggest that lots of truthers, deep down, know that's not true.
