If you add up all of the numbers in the time you can see where the evil is
Look at Howie's post. 12:30 adds up to 6, and he's talking about the devil.
fromdownunder, 2:22 adds up to six, he mentions 6:00, and work. *********** evil.
EHocking has a cute, witty post and it was 7:07
I rest my case. ETA: LOOK <---- 10:17. A good time for numerology.
I'd love to do an experiment where you got different groups of people to pay attention to different number combinations and see what "patterns" they found.
Interesting thought... would we still see this sort of confirmation bias if we had 6 fingers on each hand and 6 toes on each foot? Would our counting system still be base 10?
I know it's confirmation bias, but I'd swear that I see 12:34 more times on a clock than any other time of the day.

I see it a lot too. around here when you notice it people say 'make a wish'
Google is your friend.I probably didn't get it word perfect
Having a strong maths and science background, I find I tend to notice very different combinations from other people. Just having the same number repeated is much less interesting than things like the Fibonacci sequence or primes. Also, for some reason I seem to find symmetry more noticeable than simple repetition, so I'd be more likely to notice 25:52 than 22:22, for example. Probably not on a clock though.
Incidentally, I had a major case of this just a couple of days ago. My alarm clock displays time, date and the time the alarm is set. Just as I was getting up it said 11:11 11:11 11:11. What this mainly tells me is I should probably get around to setting the date on it at some point, and that deliberately setting the alarm to 11:11 is probably a bit sad.
